Rising Star - Crafting Instrument Cards

(Edited)

I am still on the look out for unique cards that are not in my collection. I noticed "Custom Shop" where you can get parts and craft your own instrument cards. Since instrument cards are currently the lowest price cards on the market that are unique to my collection, I thought I had better check it out.

Custom Shop

In the Custom Shop there are four Menu items:

  • Drum Fair
  • Guitar Fair
  • Production Fair
  • Crafting

To run the Drum Fair mission, you must have 400 Fans, be at Level 20 with 15% Energy. The mission will take 5 minutes. It will also cost you 1,000 Starbits to run the Drum Fair mission.

The Guitar Fair and Production Fair missions have the same requirements as the Drum Fair.

Crafting

The Crafting menu item allows you to craft instruments from the parts that were collected from running the three missions - Guitars, Drums and Production.

Running Drum Fair Mission

I decided to run one of the missions to see what would happen. The mission only took 5 minutes to run so not very long at all. The cost of 1,000 Starbits was ok if I am able to get a card from the first three times running it would be at a similar price as I am currently getting unique instrument cards.

When the mission completed, I had found a GoldStands crafting part.

I was looking at the part I received on the Drums crafting page and noticed that it would take four parts to craft a new instrument card. So minimum it would cost 4,000 Starbits for the newly crafted card.

I pulled this information from the in-game FAQ. Since you have a random chance of getting an instrument part which cost 1000 Starbits per mission, I knew at that point in time that my luck would probably not be good enough to get four unique drum parts and that it would probably costs more than 4,000 Starbits to craft my first custom instrument card.

Custom Instrument cards on Market

I was headed to the market to pick up some more unique cards since the costs of the unique cards will need to be around 5,000 or greater before it would be cheaper for me to craft cards vs buying them off the market.

Luck must have been on my side, I found some crafted Instrument cards that were listed lower than 4,000 Starbits each. There was a unique guitar card for 2,000 Starbits and a unique production card for 3,000 Starbits. I purchased those as quickly as possible because last week I was purchasing unique instrument cards that cost greater than 3,000 Starbits. This will add two unique cards to my collection at a low cost.

My Ranking and Level

I stayed in the top 400 Ranking this week at 381. My ranking improved to 381 from 398 last week. I was very pleased to have stayed in the top 400 for a second week in a row.

This past week, my weekly minutes stayed about the same from last week at 4615 compared to 4780 weekly mission minutes the prior week. My total IM and Unique cards are my two lowest stats and will probably be for a while until I start adding unique people cards again. I will be adding additional unique cards today, this should help my unique card and total cards stats.

I was able to add another level this week. I am now at level 122 just 3 levels away from unlocking the next mission. I can't wait until I am able to unlock and run the next mission.

Unique Instrument Cards

With the remaining funds from this week's earnings, I was able to acquire seven additional unique rare instrument cards at a average cost of 2742 Starbits per card. The highest cost card was slightly over 3,000 Starbits to purchase.

With the addition of so many instrument cards, I have been adding a lot of Luck to my stats. This past week, I did notice that I received Temporary Drunk Fans several more times than normal. I guess as I add more luck I will receive even more drunk fans. This will help temporarily increase earnings on the next missions I run after acquiring these fans but it will not be permanent.

Earnings This Week

This was a shorter week for earnings since I delayed posting my update by one day last week. Still not bad earnings for me for a week of running missions.
