23 Years!

HAU.

After 23 years I'm back at my college, Holy Angel University. It's so different now it used to be an open ground and the school buildings are on the side.

San Francisco De Javier Building.

This building in particular used to be a library. I'm a working student here in the visual room, I rewind VHS tapes, watch some audio visuals checking for tapes that are damage (while learning) and clean the whole area.

U DAYS 2025.

I notice that this genre is different than we attended the university days 2 decades ago (of course). Before we have dance contest, singing contest and the usual beauty pageant. Everyone will flocked on the stage and watch it. Today everyone are in the food stalls or hanging out with bf and gf. The good thing is we still have students who are lining up in rides (Peria). Maybe because it is so rare in our city to have them.

I have lots of memories here, when I was a freshman they elected me as president of accounting department. As part of being in the student council I focus on sports. I was task to coach the basketball, volleyball (men and women) and chess.

Achievements!

  1. Champion Basketball team for men. History for HAU books freshman are the champions!
  2. 1st place Basketball team for women.
  3. Champion Volleyball team for men.
  4. 1st place Volleyball team for women.
  5. 1st place Chess tourney (me).

Oh man those were the days how I wish phones cameras are invented back then (I have Nokia 3210). I learned a lot doing the coaching stuff some people are mad at you for not picking them. The choices turned out to be successful! It also helps when you boost their morale even when loosing.

Ahaa, visiting university after decades must be a great feeling. Although it has been only a few years since my college days, yet when I look at today's college going kids it feels as if centuries have passed by. 😅
