Social Media Challenge: Dark Arborist [EN - ESP]
Good morning, dear friends of my little blog on Peakd. I'm here on time for our Wednesday appointment with the Social Media Challenge and a new analysis of a Splinterlands card. Just a reminder that last week I also fulfilled my contribution to the Engagement Challenge with a powerful combo that you can put into practice right away. Returning to this week's Social Media Challenge, I'm here with an analysis of a rare card from the death deck, which I haven't evolved, so you'll see its usefulness at the initial level without any improvements. As always, I hope you find this little analysis useful and can put it into practice easily, as it's a card that hasn't been improved at all. Let's get started for another week.
Buenos días queridos amigos de mi pequeño blog en Peakd. Acudo puntualmente a nuestra cita de cada miércoles con el Social Media Challenge y un nuevo análisis de una carta de Splinterlands. Volviendo al Social Media Challenge de esta semana vengo con un análisis de una carta rara del mazo de muerte y que, además, no tengo evolucionada por lo que vas a ver su utilidad a nivel inicial sin ningún tipo de mejora. Como siempre, espero que este pequeño análisis te resulte de utilidad y puedas ponerlo en práctica además de una manera sencilla al ser una carta sin mejorar ni un solo nivel. Vamos al lío una semana más.
The card we are going to analyse this week is Dark Arborist and, as I mentioned in the introduction, it is at the initial level of evolution with its basic characteristics, making it suitable for all audiences and all levels of play. Dar Arborists are cave dwellers located in the Daigenloft Mountains who form an interesting alliance with another race in the area: the arbored Shadites. While the Dark Arborists provide medicine and healing to the arbored Shadites, the latter provide food and fruit to the Arborists. It is an interesting alliance for both sides, which is further complemented by military assistance should either race come under attack at any time. This is quite common in the dangerous mountainous lands they inhabit.
La carta que vamos a analizar esta semana es Dark Arborist y, como te digo en la introducción, a nivel inicial de evolución con sus características básicas por lo que es una análisis apto para todos los públicos y para todos los niveles de juego. Dar Arborist son habitantes de las cavernas que se ubican en las Daigenloft Mountains y forman una interesante alianza con otra raza de la zona: los arbored Shadites. Mientras los Dark Arborist proporcionan medicina y curación a los arbored shadites estos nutren de comida y fruta a los arborist. Una interesante alianza para ambos que, además, se completa ayudandose militarmente si alguna de las dos razas es atacada en algún momento. Algo, por otro lado, bastante habitual en las peligrosas tierras montañosas que habitan.
As for the analysis of the card itself and its playability, which is what we are here to discuss in this post, we have a rare card from the aforementioned death deck. It is somewhat paradoxical that a species characterised by its medicinal abilities according to the game's lore belongs to this dangerous death deck. Its basic abilities are one magic attack point, two speed points, and four vitality points, not counting shield points. These numbers improve by one point in attack and four points in vitality throughout its eight levels of improvement. As for special abilities, Dark Arborist has Demoralise already at its first level and will gain two more special abilities. At level 3, he gains Magic Reflect and, finally, at his last level, he also gains Void. An interesting combination of special abilities for a card that ends up with eight vitality points at the end of its evolution.
En cuanto al análisis de la carta en si y su jugabilidad, que es a lo que venimos a este post, tenemos una carta rara del mencionado mazo de muerte. No deja de ser paradógico que una especie que se caracteriza por sus habilidades medicinales según el lore del juego pertenezca a este peligroso mazo de muerte. Sus habilidades básicas son de un punto de ataque mágico, dos puntos de velocidad y cuatro puntos de vitalidad sin contar con puntos de escudo. Estos números mejoran en un punto el ataque y en cuatro la vitalidad a lo largo de sus ocho niveles de mejora. En cuanto a las habilidades especiales Dark Arborist cuenta con Demoralize ya en su primer nivel y ganará otras dos habilidades especiales más. En el nivel 3 obtiene Magic Reflect y, para acabar, en su último nivel gana también Void. Interesante combinación de habilidades especiales para una carta que se planta con ocho puntos de vitalidad al final de su evolución.
In terms of combat, I bring you a battle that pits me against @mahtabalam, who will be playing with a death deck in which we agree on all the cards used except one. He will be using Venari Bonesmith, a card I love, and I will be using Broken Earth Thug instead. The rest of the cards are the same, including the analysed Dark Arborist, which we both place in second position after Ujurak Brave as a tank. The battle has a summoning mana limit of 35 points, and as battle conditions, we will have to take into account Aimless, Weak Magic, and Broken Arrows. Let's see how things unfold on the battlefield.
Ya en términos de combate te traigo una batalla que me enfrenta a @mahtabalam que va a formar con un mazo de muerte en el que coincidimos en todas las cartas utilizadas salvo en una. Él va a utilizar a Venari Bonesmith, una carta que me encanta, y yo usaré a Broken Earth Thug en su lugar. El resto de cartas las mismas incluídas la analizada Dark Arborist que ambos colocamos en segunda posición tras Ujurak Brave como tanque. La batalla cuenta con un límite de 35 puntos de maná de invocación y como condiciones de batalla tendremos que tener en cuenta a Aimless, Weak magic y Broken Arrows. Vamos a ver cómo ha ido el desarrollo en el campo de batalla.
A very even battle in which small details will mark my victory once again in the complicated gold division in which I have been competing in recent months. It should be noted that the presence of Weak Magic complicates the use of a magic attack card such as Dark Arborist. However, the presence of Demoralise as a special ability helps and compensates for this slight disadvantage caused by this battle condition. It is not a decisive card or a finisher, it does not have very strong points or make a difference, but it is a very useful card with a low summoning cost that, in the circumstances of this battle, makes it worth using. It's so worthwhile that I use it ahead of cards that have greater evolution and greater offensive and defensive power than Dark Arborist, and in fact, my opponent has also found it useful. This battle is ideal for analysing Dark Arborist in two line-ups with different strategies. Now it's up to you to see which one has been used better and let me know in the comments. Batalla de mucha igualdad en el que los pequeños detalles marcarán mi victoria una más en la complicada división oro en la que me muevo en los últimos meses. Hay que tener en cuenta que la presencia de Weak magic ya complica un poco el uso de una carta con ataque mágico como es Dark Arborist. Sin embargo, la presencia de Demoralize como habilidad especial ayuda y compensa esa pequeña desventaja que causa esa condición de batalla. No es una carta que sea determinante n un finisher, no cuenta con puntos fortísimos o que supongan una diferencia pero, sin embargo, es una carta muy util con un bajo coste de invocación que en las circunstancias que se dan en esta batalla compensa su utilización. Fíjate si compensa que la utilizo por delante de cartas que tienen mayor evolución y mayor poder ofensivo y defensivo que Dark Arborist y, de hecho, mi rival también la ha considerado de utilidad. Batalla esta ideal para analizar a Dark Arborist en dos alineaciones con estrategias diferentes. Ahora es cuestión tuya ver cuál ha sido mejor utilizada y hacermelo saber en comentarios.
