What Is The DEC Supply?
I posted about DEC inflation a few days ago, and this is the main chart from that.
I got a few comments and questions there so here we go with a short one and some additional explanations for posterity.
This chart is created from the issued and burned DEC on Hive Engine. Its Hive Engine data. DEC, unlike SPS, was originally created on Hive Engine and then expanded on other chains. SPS is more of a BSC token, and its supply can be tracked there.
According to Hive Engine the DEC supply at the moment is around 2.8B.
I have also double checked this with the in game API that shows how much DEC was created from different sources, rewards, cards burns etc, and how much was spent/burned from the shop/buyin. The data with this in game API matches the above.
However if we take a look at the richlist for DEC from in game, showned on peakmonsters we get this.
There is more than 6B here with the top account acting as a holding account for Hive Engine?
At first I was thinking that some of these tokens are double counted, as example all of the supply in on Hive Engine, (@sl-hive), and the @terablock-bsc account are included in this supply, as those are basically wrapped tokens on bsc.
This was my thinking, but I cant be sure and it is basically a guestimate game for me at this point, so any feedback is welcomed :)
That main shows dec supply is reducing and that is great, it will go back to it peg soon

Progress awaits and thanks for sharing.
Check account @null, it holds nearly 2 billion DEC on Hive

Account @steemmonsters holds 99M in game and 258M on Hive

DEC in @null on Hive Engine is excluded from the chart above.
Ok, but could count for @sl-hive total of the richlist, and could explain that 2,6B. Or not?
Thanks for looking into it more. Hopefully someone will be able to explain this definitively soon.
