Torch Vizier": My First Submission to the Splinterlands Art Contest 🔥

Es un placer presentarles mi reciente creación artística, la cual marca mi debut en el concurso de arte semanal de la comunidad de Splinterlands. 🦎 Esta pieza fue elaborada hace aproximadamente tres a siete días y está inspirada en uno de los cautivadores personajes de este juego. Actualmente, me encuentro en una fase de experimentación y desarrollo estilístico. Mi objetivo es explorar la diversidad de estilos que puedo adaptar y, a su vez, perfeccionar mi técnica. Esto incluye una mejora significativa en el trabajo de línea (liner), buscando una evolución que evite la monotonía visual y me permita establecer un estilo distintivo y personal. >

It is a pleasure to present my recent artistic creation, which marks my debut in the weekly art contest of the Splinterlands community. 🦎 This piece was completed approximately three to seven days ago and is inspired by one of the captivating characters from the game.
I am currently in a phase of stylistic experimentation and development. My goal is to explore the diversity of styles I can adapt while simultaneously perfecting my technique. This includes a significant improvement in line work (liner), seeking an evolution that avoids visual monotony and allows me to establish a distinctive and personal style.

Para esta ocasión, he elegido a Torch Vizier, una carta que, tras una ardua búsqueda en las referencias oficiales de Splinterlands, logré ubicar (descubriendo que la consulta en inglés facilitaba el proceso). La ilustración es una representación intensa del personaje sosteniendo una espada que se enciende en llamas, con una mirada penetrante y decidida hacia el frente. El cabello envuelto en fuego y un fondo de dunas desérticas complementan la atmósfera dramática de la escena.

For this occasion, I chose Torch Vizier, a card that, after an arduous search for official Splinterlands references, I managed to locate (discovering that consulting in English facilitated the process). The illustration is an intense portrayal of the character holding a sword that is igniting in flames, with a penetrating and determined gaze fixed forward. The hair engulfed in fire and a desert dune background complete the dramatic atmosphere of the scene.

[Como es habitual en mi método de trabajo, inicié con el delineado (liner) para definir la anatomía y las direcciones generales de la composición. Posteriormente, procedí al pulido de los detalles, tales como el cabello, la vestimenta y la espada, utilizando distintas capas de color para facilitar la diferenciación y el control de cada elemento corporal.]	[As is customary in my work method, I started with the line work (liner) to define the anatomy and the general directions of the composition. Subsequently, I proceeded to polish the details, such as the hair, clothing, and sword, using different color layers to facilitate the differentiation and control of each body element.]

[En la segunda fase, se aplicaron las capas de color base, comenzando por la piel, seguida por la indumentaria, y finalizando con el cabello y la espada. Inicialmente, contemplé un estilo de líneas duras o fijas. Sin embargo, una revisión posterior del concepto me motivó a explorar una técnica diferente, lo que nos lleva a la etapa final.]	[In the second phase, the base color layers were applied, starting with the skin, followed by the clothing, and finishing with the hair and the sword. Initially, I considered a hard or fixed line style. However, a later review of the concept motivated me to explore a different technique, which leads us to the final stage.]

Parte 3: Detalles, Sombras y Mensaje Final 💭

[En esta etapa, se definió un fondo simple que no distrajera del sujeto principal. Inicialmente, se agregaron brillos al personaje. No obstante, atendiendo a recomendaciones, incorporé una técnica de difuminado y un aumento considerable en la intensidad de los efectos de luz. El resultado final ha sido sumamente satisfactorio, logrando un impacto visual sorprendente y haciendo al personaje mucho más llamativo, a pesar de las modificaciones realizadas al estilo base.]

[In this stage, a simple background was defined so as not to distract from the main subject. Initially, highlights were added to the character. However, following recommendations, I incorporated a smudging technique and a considerable increase in the intensity of the light effects. The final result has been highly satisfactory, achieving a stunning visual impact and making the character much more striking, despite the modifications made to the base style.]
