This is why the downvoting is a big deal. If they are downvoting leo.voter posts then they are NOT affecting the amount of LEO being "shown", but they are taking the HBD/HP way down, which is what leo.voter is using to pay for the LEO. So, I would imagine the apr has come way down since this started. I have no idea what it is now or will be in the future, but it would certainly seem to be incentivizing people NOT to delegate to leo.voter. Rather they should probably just sell the Hive and buy SURGE instead. The APR on that is over 18% plus there is a 25% discount. So you could make north of 40% on that right now.
I'm just going to leave things stand for now and see how everything shakes out, but if it contines, Hive is just driving away another long time user and accumulator. It's a great business model they've got going, eh?
One would have to see the several angles of things and know all the realities (which is impossible) to make an educated comment. So I won't comment on what I think.
But downvoting always existed... to not count on it or not factor it in the business model, its something doomed from the start.
The reason I am actually going to remove my delegation is because I don't agree with my HP being used to create a massive number of fake accounts. I don't care who is doing it... just not with my HP.
Sorry
And don't interpret me wrong here, I enjoy what this platform has created.
But until better use of the account creation is done, my HP comes back to me.
