My Journey with The Daily Laws

avatar

It's been a while since I last picked up a book, so I decided to drop by Kinokuniya to check out the two books I've been thinking about recently. I'm not much of a book reader, but I figured it would be a good habit to develop this year. I feel like it's something I need if I want to apply the power of tiny gains that I wrote about yesterday.

Obviously, one of the best ways to gain knowledge and improve oneself is through reading. Since I haven't done that in a while, I wanted to start with something easier to grasp and implement into my lifestyle.

Among the many books available, The Daily Laws by Robert Greene seems like a great fit for my goal of improving on a daily or regular basis.

Since I consider myself a first-time book reader, I chose The Daily Laws for that reason. I checked the reviews, and one of the key factors I considered was that it was written in short sections. As someone who enjoys bite-sized wisdom, this book makes sense for me to read.

The reason I discovered this book is that I listened to the audiobook The Laws of Human Nature, also by Robert Greene. As I listened, I found the practicality of the examples he shared to be highly relatable, especially in my line of work, where I have to communicate and coordinate with many people.

After listening to the audiobook, I felt encouraged to explore other books by the author. Based on my research, The Daily Laws seemed to be the best fit for my preferences. I didn’t want to pressure myself into reading a large number of pages just to grasp the book’s message. With the way it’s written, I can read small portions daily, which aligns with my goal of gradual self-improvement over time.

Reading The Daily Laws has been a great way to ease myself into the habit of reading while gaining valuable insights each day. I appreciate how its concise format allows me to absorb wisdom without feeling overwhelmed. I’m excited to continue this journey of self-improvement, one page at a time.

Building a reading habit with a book like this makes a lot of sense. It’s nice when a format fits well with how you like to take in information

I appreciate, admire and value publications that encourage reading from any kind of sources, but I consider that the book is still irreplaceable, despite the digital speed of this world.
Much of the knowledge treasured in my life has been through books and, in my youth I was a "book devourer" of libraries.
Excellent images.
Thanks for sharing.
Happy weekend.
Cheers and greetings.

I used to read a lot of fiction back when I was younger. I lost the interest when I started working but I wanted to make a change. Hopefully, I'll reignite my passion for reading 😊
