Beer & Bites: A Casual Tasting of Kronnenberg Brut Beer šŸ»

avatar

I was supposed to have some #beer last Wednesday, but I got stuck at work and couldnā€™t make it. The past few days were also busier for me, so I didnā€™t get to visit the bistro in the city I had planned to check out. Long story short, my weekdays were too hectic, and none of my attempts worked out. So now, Iā€™m finally able to enjoy another #beer on a Sundayā€”at least Iā€™m more relaxed, which makes it even better.

In my first #beer post, I had the Kronenbourg Blanc at Essen, a bistro/pub in Anchorvale. For my second post, Iā€™m having it at home since the weather wasnā€™t great earlier. This time, I bought a can of Kronenbourg Brut to compare and see which one suits my preference better.

To accompany my drink, I bought a sausage and grilled it using the air fryer. The great thing about a Brut beer is its versatilityā€”it pairs well with many side dishes or even steak. I feel like a bratwurst sausage would be a great match for this beer.

1000008652.jpg

For the sausage, I simply grilled it for about 8 minutes at 200Ā°C, and it turned out fine for me. Since itā€™s a pre-cooked sausage, it takes less time to cook.

Kronenbourg 1664 Brut Specifications:

1000008647.jpg

Name of the beer: Kronenbourg 1664 Brut
Alcohol by volume (ABV): 4.5%
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, wheat malt, hops, dextrose, and natural flavoring
Color: Light golden

I did some reading and found that itā€™s best served chilled, so I placed it in the lower section of the fridge, where I think it will be perfectly chilled without being too cold.

I think I did well in choosing the pairing for this brut beer. The citrus notes complement the sausage perfectly. It's very light and almost feels like drinking sparkling wine.

I'm really satisfied with this meal, and once again, this French beer has impressed meā€”I love it!

This tasting experience turned out to be a great way to unwind after a busy week. The Kronenbourg 1664 Brut surprised me with its crispness and versatility, making it a solid choice for pairing with simple yet flavorful dishes. Iā€™ll definitely be keeping this one in my rotationā€”maybe next time, Iā€™ll finally get to enjoy it at that bistro in the city!

What is the different between Kronenbourg Blanc and Brut??
I love a Kronenbourg Blanc when I am out for dinner, but I haven't never seen a Brut version of Kronenbourg oO

I also like Blanc šŸ˜, they have very similar taste but Brut is lighter in taste and ABV (0.5% less).

For me, Brut is more for casual drinking while Blanc is something that I will have if I want to feel more buzz šŸ˜‚

Ohh sounds nice! Funny how I have never seen it here :D
I can only drink Blanc, since thats what we have :P

We had Blanc Rose, which wasn't bad but I wouldn't have more than one of those xD

A while ago I was choosing between Brut and Rose šŸ˜

Looks like I made a good choice šŸ‘

Any reason why Rose is less of your preference?

So this one is different than the 'normal' Kronenbourgs? Because I love those actually, and easy sip and a go to lager...but this is something different then?

Beer and sausage...ohw yessss!

When you say regular one... Is it the Blanc version? Hmm, yes it's different. Brut is milder in every aspect and more flexible with pairing as well.

It has less ABV so I could have more if it than Blanc haha

Beer and sausage...ohw yessss!

I've seen 3 types so far: Blanc, Brut, & Rose.

Brut taste milder than Blanc. Less buzz too šŸ˜‰

Rose will try next.

Then maybe I should skip Brut. Will keep to Blanc. Rose should be something I might try too.

This is good for someone who is just starting to explore drinking beer. It has a mild taste and less alcohol level :)
