PIZZA Chess Grandmaster Showdown for S01 RESULTS: Prizes Given Out, Amazing Matches Played, Season 2 Announcement. (MARCH 6th 2022)
Greeting gamers, chees people, and hiveans. The Grandmaster Showdown has been concluded, and the winner was @eniolw. However each participant in this series has shown valiant effort.
Why the Delay? And when for Season 2?
Contenders had internet issues,scheduling problems, and illness to contend with. Luckily a winner was determined in a fair manner via a series of matches (see below for matches and season 2 details) and everyone recovered and is well (the most important detail).
The Matches: Grandmaster Knockout
The final matches in this knockout are here and here Eniolw emerged victorious in both battles against vjap55. Samostically did not attend upon the tournament entry date and time so was not present for further tournament planning.
vjap55 beat rosmarly to be matched against eniolw (eniolw advancing due to Samostically not showing up for the finals). Those matches are here and here where vjap55 wins in both cases against rosmarly.
There is no highlight match summary this time because all these matches were exceptional and you should view them for yourselves. Comment below to earn PIZZA.

Season 2: When? What prizes? More PIZZA!
The next chess tournament series will be started on Sunday the 6th at 21 GMT. Stay tuned for prize updates and further developments on details with the series as we near closer to the date. There are surprises in store this second time around and plenty of PIZZA.

Hi! I vote for a 3+2, swiss or arena. Or whatever, but with increment per move. It would also be nice if everyone got some prize, depending on the position, as it happens in the Friday and Sunday tournaments (and I think in the Saturday one too). In this way the participation of everyone is encouraged, even if they are not so good at playing (I include myself among the latter...). !PIZZA
