Splinterlands battle with sneak attack monsters
Hello Everyone,

https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/splinterlands-social-media-challenge-swl1ao
I hope you are doing fine, did you accumulate the conclave arcana packs and cards, getting an opportunity to play in modern format with enough cards for the format? I am not having much to play in modern format as the cards i have are all from previous editions and are not allowed to play in modern format.
Can't really help much with that as chaos legion is out of modern format and i will have to be happy to play in wild format either manually or thru bot battles as many do.
I still prefer to play in modern format and may be a rented deck might help me and i am gathering funds to rent a deck soon, mostly from next season and try my luck in modern format.
For now, content to play in wild format with many losses as the competition is high in wild format and also the rewards are less obviously because many will play in wild format because of no wild pass this week.
I am participating in this week's social media challenge after a long time and sharing this battle i played recently.
It's a battle with low mana cost and used mostly the sneak attack monsters as lower mana cost battles are always a challenge and most people will bolster the front line monsters and forget about the back end and that is where i feel like hitting early and take advantage.
Ok then, let see the lineup.
Lineup:

As the battle screenshot shared above shows, it was just with 18 mana cost and there was one ruleset of up to eleven and that is all about amplify ruleset which increases the damage from retaliate and thorn and magic reflect and other return attacks we have.
Eighteen is not a big mana limit and the monsters needs to be chose carefully and i always prefer sneak attack monsters to be used in such situations with a high health front monster and a monster with many armors in back side to withstand any sneak attack and my lineup with these stats are as below.
Halfling refugee:

Eighteen mana cost means, we have to try and use lowest mana cost members as much as possible and halfling refugee with just 1 mana cost, is a prefect one to use in such situations.
It's 3 attack and 6 health can be utilized well in these low cost battles.
Creeping ooze:

This is one of those monsters which reduces the speed of monsters from my opponent as it is with slow ability and 1 speed less will also be advantageous in such low mana cost battles.
Kar'ar xoc:

This is another 1 mana cost monster with scavenger ability to gain health when a monster dies and used it to strengthen front monsters and keep an eye on back end of opponent's lineup with sneak attack.
Uraeus:

This and next one monster are the 2 main attackers from second line and sneak is the main reason for using these 2.
This is also with poison ability to infect a monster with poison.
Dhampir infiltrator:

Second sneak attack monster in the lineup and this is with double attack in each round.
With 18 mana cost cap, the monsters used will be with low health and sneak attack is going to be vital in such battles.
Clockwork aide:

And this is the last monster i used an more expectedly this is the monster staged for sneak attack as it is with those many armors to withstand sneak attack and yet help it friends by increasing the speed for those.
My opponent too had a sneak attack monster and couple of magic attack ones, but the attack was less from him as 2 sneak attack ones i used were more menacing with poison and double attack and that was enough to remove the monsters one by one on the other side and win the battle with not much sweat spilled.
This social media challenge helps me to earn some Hive and use it for wild pass and i am always grateful to all including splinterlands team for this opportunity.
