¿Soñaste alguna vez con ser un dinosaurio? | Mi review de The Isle | ES-EN

Introducción

¡Hola! ¿Qué tal, crypto amigos? ¿Cómo están? ¡Yo espero que muy bien! ¿Quién alguna vez de pequeño vio algún documental sobre dinosaurios? ¿Y alguna película de la saga de Jurassic Park? ¿No viste la película titulada "Dinosaurios"? Yo en lo personal me he visto todas ellas y muchos documentales también sobre dinosaurios, hasta el día de la fecha lo sigo haciendo. De pequeño soñaba mucho con ellos y me encantaban, aunque también tenía pesadillas ya que algunos me daban miedo. La época cretácea me fascina, para que les voy a mentir, y haber descubierto este increíble juego me enloqueció, es por eso que hoy les traigo ésta reseña de The Isle, un juego de simulación de dinosaurios.

Ésta vez traigo mi blog en formato escrito solamente ya que vi pertinente primero presentar el juego así, luego analizar el feedback que vaya a tener y así ver si traigo algún que otro gameplay como siempre. En este caso van a ver los gifs con mi camarita y eso es porque me estaba grabando mientras jugaba como normalmente hago, además van a encontrar mucha información para que se entienda el juego que es lo que quiero lograr además con este post, ya que tiene ciertas mecánicas un poco complicadas de explicar en un gameplay.

Ficha técnica

Paso a mostrarles los requisitos mínimos y recomendados que pide el juego, realmente no está muy bien optimizado así que recomendaría tener, por lo menos, una placa de vídeo y 8gb de ram, así y todo el juego en gráficos bajos puede llegar a trabarse en ciertas circunstancias.

Optimización y fps: 6/10

Precio en ARS (STEAM).

En lo personal, considero que el precio está muy justificado, no es para nada caro comparado con las horas y horas de contenido y diversión que ofrece, en dólares sería el equivalente a 80 centavos de dólar. Compralo, enserio.

¿Qué es The Isle?

The Isle es un juego de supervivencia donde encarnaremos la piel de un dinosaurio, así es gente, es un simulador de éstas increíbles criaturas como les comentaba. Podemos utilizar una variedad de hasta 15 entre herbívoros y carnívoros. Hay otros 6 que son pagos pero de eso voy a hablar más adelante. El objetivo del juego es, básicamente, sobrevivir. Siendo herbívoro tendremos que comer plantas que hay en determinadas zonas del mapa y si elegimos ser carnívoros tendremos que dar caza a otros jugadores, porque me olvidé de decirles, éste juego es multiplayer y casi todos los dinosaurios, salvo algún que otro bot que no son dinos muy fuertes, son jugadores reales. Además tendremos que beber agua, osea buscar diferentes fuentes de la misma, como por ejemplo lagos, lagunas o ríos y saciar nuestra sed, es ahí donde ocurren la mayoría de encuentros ya que tanto la sed y el hambre bajan rápido y siempre hay otros jugadores cerca del agua dulce.

Servidores

En el juego tendremos un gran abanico de posibilidades en cuanto a servidores se trata. Dependiendo de tu región vas a tener que acceder a uno u otro por el simple echo de la latencia que maneja cada uno. Los dueños de éstos servidores son gente común y corriente que pagó por el derecho de tener un servidor y el host, a éstas personas se les otorgan poderes especiales para manejar el servidor y organizarlo a su antojo. ¿Se acuerdan que les dije el tema de dinosaurios pagos? Bueno, en este caso las personas dueñas del servidor tienen acceso a otros dinos que no están disponibles para todo el mundo, los que quieran pueden pagar cierta cantidad de dinero (que generalmente no es mucho) para obtenerlos hasta perderlos y, en algunos servidores, está la posibilidad de canjearlos por puntos que se consiguen interactuando en los discords que crean éstas comunidades. Hay grandes propuestas dentro de The Isle, ultimamente estuvimos jugando en el servidor que se ve arriba del todo en la imágen, el que se llama "The Isle Hispano", es un servidor argentino que abrió hace relativamente poco y es una gozada jugar ahí ya que es el único en todo el juego que no nos da lag y encima de todo casi siempre está lleno de gente, tiene un promedio de 80 personas por día, lo cuál es muchísimo teniendo en cuenta que el mapa es chico y el máximo de jugadores es 100.

Herbívoros y Carnívoros

Una vez elegido nuestro servidor de preferencia, tendremos que optar por usar un dinosaurio herbívoro o uno carnívoro. Y son simplemente eso, unos comen carne y tienen que intentar matar a otros usuarios para sobrevivir (pueden ser carnívoros o herbívoros) y los otros deben sobrevivir a base de plantas y de que no los coma otro dinosaurio.

Luego de eso tenemos una lista con los diferentes fósiles vivientes, acá abajo van a poder ver a los Carnívoros disponibles para utilizar, en este caso podemos observar que el temible "T-Rex" está disponible para poder usarlo 😰, inclusive el "Giganotosaurus", un lagarto super desarrollado de 13 metros de longitud 😱.

Luego tenemos la sección de los herbívoros. Estos animales pasivos come plantas no tienen como objetivo dañar a nadie, simplemente defenderse, aunque dejenme decirles que siendo un Carnívoro te la pensas dos veces antes de atacar a un gigantón como el Triceratops que te puede matar de unos cuantos cornasos.

Interfaz de personalización

Luego de escoger el dinosaurio que nos haya llamado la atención, tendremos que personalizarlo a nuestro gusto, hay varios colores y diseños disponibles para elegir, entre ellos estaría el lomo, los patrones de manchas y la panza, además, si nuestros dino es macho podremos colocarle un detalle en la cresta o cola de algún color que nos guste.

¿Qué dinosaurio elegí?

Para seguir explicando un poco más del juego ya tengo que ingresar dentro del mismo, en este caso yo elegí el dinosaurio Dilophosaurus, "Dilo" para los amigos, es un Carnívoro con una velocidad muy buena, un poder de mordida malo pero un sangrado tremendo "¿Velocidad? ¿Poder de mordida? ¿Sangrado? Oye oye, mas despacio cerebrito" xdd. Tranquilos, ya se los explico, mientras tanto vean la hermosura de mi dinosaurio elegido.

Velocidad, poder de mordida y sangrado

La mayoría de los dinosaurios destacan en ciertas características. El T-Rex, por ponerlo de ejemplo, tiene mucha vida, mucho demasiado poder de mordida pero muy poca velocidad además de que gira muy mal. Mi dinosaurio, en cambio, tiene mucha más velocidad y muy poco poder de mordida además de una vida mediocre, pero hay una estadística que no se ve en el interfaz que les muestro abajo ¿Verdad? Ésta es el sangrado, la información de la misma se puede encontrar en ésta Wiki creada por fans, pero básicamente es el daño progresivo que realizamos a otro dinosaurio con una mordida, por ejemplo, el T-REX hace 10 de daño de sangrado por mordida mientras que nosotros aplicamos 44 de daño sangrado por mordida, es una diferencia abismal y ésta es una de sus mayores ventajas. La vida tampoco figura en esta tablita pero esa es otra cuestión que podremos consultar en la Wiki. Éstas estadísticas van subiendo a medida que vamos creciendo "¿Crecer?" Así es, ahora voy a pasar a contarles un poco sobre las etapas de crecimiento que hay en el juego.

Etapas de crecimiento

En el juego tendremos 2 etapas de crecimiento y 3 en el caso de dinosaurios más grandes. Éstas son juvenil, sub-adulto y adulto, luego entre ellas podremos encontrar las variaciones de "sub-full" y "full-adulto". El Dilo, nuestro dinosaurio elegido, es uno que solamente inicia en la etapa de juvenil y pasa directamente a la de adulto para luego culminar en el full-adulto. Mientras que el T-REX tiene etapa de juvenil, sub-adulto, sub-full, adulto y full adulto ¿Cómo se avanza entre las diferentes períodos? Básicamente tienen que pasar las horas, en el Dilo es 1 hora y 50 minutos para crecer al máximo tamaño y en el T-REX 6 horas, si es una locura. Detalle, si te matan tenes que crearte un dino nuevo y empezar de cero xd. Acá abajo van a poder ver la tabla donde te dicen en que porcentaje de crecimiento vas y en que etapa te encontrás actualmente. Para acceder a ella tendremos que presionar la tecla INSERT.

Fijense en este gif que les dejo acá abajo, una vez llegado a cierto punto apretando la tecla ESC, me habilitan el boton "grow", el mismo hace que mi dinosaurio crezca automáticamente, aumentando así mis estadísticas de velocidad, mordida, resistencia, etc. como les comentaba.

Ciclo día y noche

Como el juego es tremendamente realista en muchos aspectos, no podía faltar el ciclo día y noche, siendo éste último tremendamente tétrico porque realmente no se ve nada, pero entonces ¿Cómo hacemos cuando es de noche? Bueno, como algunos sabrán, los dinosaurios tenían la posibilidad de ver a oscuras, eso se puede hacer dentro del juego presionando la tecla N. Apoyándonos más en el realismo del juego, decirles que no todos los dinos tenían la misma capacidad de visión en la noche, vamos a poner de ejemplo al Dilo que estamos utilizando nosotros ahora, como pueden observar se ve todo muy blanco, es así como se supone que ven algunos animales en la noche, allá a lo lejos se ve un dinosaurio viniendo hacía nosotros, (no se preocupen es un bot) si apagamos la visión nocturna vemos todo negro, directamente no se ve nada por el oscuro de la noche pero, mientras lo tengamos activada, podremos ver hasta muy lejos. Aunque como les decía, no todos los dinos tienen la misma vista, el T-REX (otra vez de ejemplo), tiene una vista nocturna muy reducida, prácticamente pueden ver su cuerpo y hasta medio metro de distancia, nada más. Ésta sería otra gran ventaja que tiene nuestro dinosaurio por el del resto ya que es el que mejor ve en la noche.

Combates y cacería

En The Isle, como habrán podido adivinar con lo que vengo explicando, los combates se deciden por quien muerde más veces o quien gasta más al enemigo. En este caso andábamos necesitando comer y justo nos encontramos una manada de "Utahraptors", decidimos darles caza para poder alimentarlos, lamentablemente yo me acerqué a uno pero no llegué a morderlo ni 1 sola vez, y eso es porque Él me vio a tiempo y huyó, el "Utah" se destaca por su increíble velocidad, es el más rápido del juego.

Conclusiones

Decirles gente que, si les gustan los juegos de simulación, tienen que probar éste increíble título, tiene una jugabilidad increíble, unas mecánicas interesantes que hay que saber aprovechar, su realismo es exquisito, se puede decir que también es un juego que te produce muchas emociones, entre ellas el miedo cuando es de noche y escuchas pasos fuertes cerca tuyo y decirles además que los combates son intensos y muy entretenidos ¡Y por si fuera poco se puede jugar con AMIGOS!

As a child I dreamed a lot about them and I loved them, although I also had nightmares about them since some of them scared me. The Cretaceous era fascinates me, why should I lie to you, and having discovered this incredible game drove me crazy, that's why today I bring you this review of The Isle, a dinosaur simulation game.

This time I bring my blog in written format only since I saw it pertinent to first present the game like this, then analyze the feedback that it will have and thus see if I bring some other gameplay as always. In this case they are going to see the gifs with my little camera and that is because I was recording myself while I played as I normally do, they are also going to find a lot of information so that the game is understood, which is what I also want to achieve with this post, since it has certain mechanics a bit complicated to explain in a gameplay.

Data sheet

I am going to show you the minimum and recommended requirements that the game asks for, it really is not very well optimized so I would recommend having, at least, a video card and 8gb of ram, so the whole game in low graphics can get stuck in certain circumstances.

What is The Isle?

The Isle is a survival game where we will embody the skin of a dinosaur, that's right people, it's a simulator of these incredible creatures as I was telling you. We can use a variety of up to 15 between herbivores and carnivores. There are another 6 that are paid but I will talk about that later. The objective of the game is basically to survive. Being a herbivore we will have to eat plants that are in certain areas of the map and if we choose to be carnivorous we will have to hunt down other players, because I forgot to tell you, this game is multiplayer and almost all the dinosaurs, except for some other bot that are not Tell us very strong, they are real players. We will also have to drink water, that is, look for different sources of it, such as lakes, lagoons or rivers and quench our thirst, that is where most of the encounters take place since both thirst and hunger go down quickly and there are always other players near fresh water.

Servers

In the game we will have a wide range of possibilities in terms of servers. Depending on your region you will have to access one or the other for the simple fact of the latency that each one handles. The owners of these servers are ordinary people who paid for the right to have a server and host, these people are given special powers to manage the server and organize it as they please. Do you remember that I told you about the theme of paid dinosaurs? Well, in this case the people who own the server have access to other dinos that are not available to everyone, those who want can pay a certain amount of money (which is usually not much) to get them until they lose them and, in some servers, There is the possibility of exchanging them for points that are obtained by interacting in the discords that these communities create. There are great proposals within The Isle, lately we were playing on the server that is seen at the top of the image, the one called "The Isle Hispano", it is an Argentine server that opened relatively recently and it is a joy to play there already which is the only one in the entire game that does not give us lag and above all it is almost always full of people, it has an average of 80 people per day, which is a lot considering that the map is small and the maximum amount of playdors is 100.

After that we have a list with the different living fossils, below you will be able to see the Carnivores available to use, in this case we can see that the fearsome "T-Rex" is available to use 😰, including the "Giganotosaurus" , a super developed lizard of 13 meters in length 😱.

Then we have the section on herbivores. These passive plant-eating animals do not aim to harm anyone, they simply defend themselves, although let me tell you that being a Carnivore you think twice before attacking a giant like the Triceratops that can kill you with a few horns.

Personalization interface

After choosing the dinosaur that has caught our attention, we will have to customize it to our liking, there are several colors and designs available to choose from, among them would be the back, the patterns of spots and the belly, in addition, if our dino is male we can place a detail on the crest or tail of a color that we like.

Which dinosaur did I choose?

To continue explaining a little more about the game, I already have to enter it, in this case I chose the Dilophosaurus dinosaur, "Say it" to friends, it is a Carnivore with a very good speed, a bad bite power but a tremendous bleeding "Speed? Bite power? Bleeding? Hey hey, slow down brainiac" xdd. Calm down, I'll explain it to you, meanwhile see the beauty of my chosen dinosaur.

Speed, bite power and bleeding

Most dinosaurs excel at certain characteristics. The T-Rex, for example, has a lot of life, much too much bite power but very little speed, in addition to turning very badly. My dinosaur, on the other hand, has much more speed and very little bite power as well as a mediocre life, but there is a stat that is not seen in the interface that I show you below, right? This is bleeding, information about it can be found in this Wiki created by fans, but basically it is the progressive damage that we do to another dinosaur with a bite, for For example, the T-REX does 10 bleed damage per bite while we apply 44 bleed damage per bite, it's a huge difference and this is one of its biggest advantages. Life does not appear in this table either, but that is another question that we can consult in the Wiki. These statistics go up as we grow "Grow?" That's right, now I'm going to tell you a little about the growth stages that are in the game.

Growth stages

In the game we will have 2 stages of growth and 3 in the case of larger dinosaurs. These are juvenile, sub-adult and adult, then among them we can find the variations of "sub-full" and "full-adult". The Dilo, our chosen dinosaur, is one that only begins in the juvenile stage and goes directly to the adult stage and then culminates in the full-adult stage. While the T-REX has a juvenile, sub-adult, sub-full, adult and full adult stage, how do you progress between the different periods? Basically the hours have to pass, in the Dilo it is 1 hour and 50 minutes to grow to the maximum size and in the T-REX 6 hours, if it is crazy. Detail, if they kill you you have to create a new dino and start from scratch xd. Below you will be able to see the table where they tell you what percentage of growth you are in and what stage you are currently in. To access it we will have to press the INSERT key.

Look at this gif that I leave below, once I reach a certain point by pressing the ESC key, they enable the "grow" button, it makes my dinosaur grow automatically, thus increasing my speed, bite, resistance statistics, etc. . as I told you.

Day and night cycle

As the game is tremendously realistic in many aspects, the day and night cycle could not be missing, the latter being tremendously gloomy because you really can't see anything, but then how do we do it when it's night? Well, as some of you know, the dinosaurs had the ability to see in the dark, that can be done within the game by pressing the N key. Relying more on the realism of the game, tell you that not all dinos had the same ability to see in the night, we are going to give the Dilo that we are using now as an example, as you can see everything looks very white, that is how some animals are supposed to see at night, there in the distance you see a dinosaur coming towards us, ( don't worry, it's a bot) if we turn off the night vision we see everything black, nothing is directly visible due to the darkness of the night but, as long as we have it activated, we can see very far. Although as I was saying, not all dinos have the same sight, the T-REX (again as an example), has a very reduced night vision, they can practically see their body and up to half a meter away, nothing more. This would be another great advantage that our dinosaur has over the rest since it is the one that sees best at night.

Fighting and hunting

In The Isle, as you may have guessed from what I have been explaining, the fights are decided by who bites the most times or who spends the most on the enemy. In this case we were needing to eat and we just found a herd of "Utahraptors", we decided to hunt them down to feed them, unfortunately I approached one but I didn't get to bite it even once, and that's because He saw me in time and fled, the "Utah" stands out for its incredible speed, it is the fastest in the game.

Conclusions

Tell people that, if they like simulation games, they have to try this incredible title, it has incredible gameplay, some interesting mechanics that you have to know how to take advantage of, its realism is exquisite, it can be said that it is also a game that produces many emotions, including fear when it's night and you hear strong footsteps near you and also tell them that the fights are intense and very entertaining. And if that weren't enough, you can play with FRIENDS!
