Hello Hive gaming community and a blessed Sunday! I update my Splinterlands progress today. I have some exciting progress reports in my Splinterlands game. I climbed to the gold league yesterday and it qualified me to receive higher prizes like reward chests that had higher chances of receiving a legendary card. In fact, I got two legendary cards yesterday. One of them greatly changed my strategies. This post will also be my entry to the Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Combo Chronicles!

⚔️🛡️ Legendary Cards 🛡️⚔️

The two legendary cards I received from chests. They are Mystic Scaleweaver and Alan Musketeer. I will say the benefits of both cards.

⚔️🛡️ Alan Musketeer 🛡️⚔️

Alan Musketeer can attack two times in each round. It's his strong ability called Double Strike. I like his design like a ferocious fighter with a musket.

⚔️🛡️ Mystic Scaleweaver 🛡️⚔️

Mystic Scaleweaver design is a snake creature with two whips. She has a strong magic attack and has an ability to slow the opposing team. Her power made me prefer the Water element. I was partial to Earth and Fire elements but now Water is my top most element. Mystic Scaleweaver combo with other magic attackers for strong attacks.

⚔️🛡️ Broken Arrows 🛡️⚔️

The Broken Arrow modifier does not matter in this match. What's important is the high mana and Water element is allowed.

Featured Cards

• Marlai Singariel is the Water archon. She add one magic attack to all friendly magic attack units.

• Great Bear Druid is legendary card that has two attacks. He has melee and magic attack. I decided to put him in front.

• New Beluroc Aegis is a melee card. It can be argued that he should be in front instead of Great Bear Druid. I saw the same strategy of putting him in second from my opponents and I copied this strategy. The attacks get directed to him because of his Taunt ability and saved Great Bear Druid. A cool strategy.

For the magic combo, it is headed by the legendary card.

• Mystic Scaleweaver is very strong. It has two magic attack and slows down the enemy. Being faster has an advantage allowing me to attack first.

• Saltwater Mage is another magic attacker with two magic attacks. It attacks in the back because it has sneak ability. It's a good ability in this battle.

• Lunaki Howler has one magic attack.

• Water-logged Wizard has one magic attack.

I am facing an opponent with the Death element. It's front facing unit has defense against magic attacks. Unfortunately, I had Saltwater Mage that attacks the back with three magic attacks. It will eliminate the opponent's units Sorrow Harvester and Little Sister with one hit. My legendary card and Saltwater Mage were the catalysts in this match. I got the victory this time.

⚔️🛡️ Aimless and Super Sneak 🛡️⚔️

The next match had Aimless and Super Sneak. The mana is again high and Water element is allowed. The same combo I used but thinking of Super Sneak modifier I changed the position of the cards.

I used exactly the same combo only I changed the position of New Beluroc Aegis. I put it in the last position to shield my magic attackers in the back. My opponent was Fire element. I prefer it because the archon adds speed to all friendly units. Also, Fire units have strong attacks with two compared to most units that only have one attack. The opposing units are mostly made up of melee with most of his cards have two attacks. We had the same strategy in position of New Beluroc Aegis. He also put it in the last.

The aimless modifier made the attacks shoot everywhere. The targets were random but once again, my magic combo led by Mystic Scaleweaver dominated the match.
