Games I Play in Hive 4: Splinterlands (The Best Game I Played)

Hello Hive gaming community! Previously, I wrote about the three games I play in Hive.

This time I will play a game I often see in Hive gaming posts. It's highly recommended by other gamers in Hive. The game is included in the Arcade Colony site: Splinterlands.

The game begins in a campaign: Waur Medge Academy. The game starts with a cool video of the player character riding a cart with an NPC teaching the game. We are on way to Waur Megde Academy, a school for Battle Mages. The video has nice sound effects and music that keep me watching with interest.

Gon gave me a Lion card. I think this is my first card to use in the game. After an event where we got ambushed by a bear, the first battle ensues. My lion card fighting with the bear. Gon is giving me instructions about the battle.

That was easy. I won the battle and I was rewarded with two cards.

At last we arrived at War Medge Academy when we met this bully.

I fought the bully with my one card. I wonder why only one when I already have two cards. He has six cards and I lost, I still won a card: an orc.

I followed the next missions. They are easy to follow and teaches about the game while giving reward cards. My cards grow while I'm learning about the game. The battles become more complex. I learn I need to position my cards in a particular order in battles. Some cards have abilities and attack types that determine their position. There are melee, ranged and magic cards. Melee are frontline (tank) cards while ranged and magic cards are in the back.

There are rules in battles like Noxious Fumes (All units start the battle Poisoned). There are cards that can be used to counter the rule. The battles have a certain amount of mana that limits the cards you can use. The lower the mana, the less cards. There are elements to choose from. I like the green element and used it a lot in the campaign missions.

I won all battles and got revenge on the bully in the last mission. I now have a lot of cards. The next thing to do is study the cards abilities and attacks.

Splinterlands is the best among the games I played. Moon and Runik Conquests are slow city building. I have to log off and wait after claiming resources and queing the builds. Stakehouse Den got repetitive and limited by the amount of Hotsauce. I like Splinterlands because it can be played again and again with each battle being different because of the rules, mana and elements that can be used. I think Splinterlands is my favorite Hive game. I will write my progress in my next post.
