Flipadelphia Day 22: Quick Flips and Progressing Up the Riftwatchers Ladder
Things are starting to get more exciting in Flipadelphia.
None of this article is financial/investment/legal advice, it contains a strategic valuation analysis of speculative assets that can be subject to market fluctuations. You are suggested to seek out a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) for all investments and the author is not an RIA. Splinterlands' Terms of Service identifies Splinterlands/Steem Monsters as not being an Investment Company. As defined by the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, Steem Monsters (the parent company of Splinterlands) and the Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) that was published by Steem Monsters can be argued to rise to the definition of being classified as Financial Institutions in the United States. This is a duty to warn and inform given that the actions to be described regard the valuation of assets and speculation of events to take place.
The Streets of Flipadelphia are showing signs of bustle and movement. Things are a bit less quiet likely due to the End of Season rush, but also because the cards purchased are in-demand and the price points for sale were well-chosen. There's a little bit of concern over a recent move, but it may be a risk that pays off well.
What's Out?
Four cards were sold on this day.
- Level 1 Regular Foil Xenith Monk
- Level 3 Gold Foil Lemell Refugee
- Level 4 Gold Foil Crypt Beetle
These sales led to the ability to be able to sell off a Level 3 Gold Foil Junker. Yes, that is right, there was a quick flip that took place where a purchase was made and a sale took place soon after.
Waiting to Swipe Right
Right now, the Level 2 Gold Foil Regal Peryton still is looking for a new owner and there are a bunch of cards that have lost value, but there is one interesting addition to this mix.
What's In?
There was a purchase today of a Level 3 Gold Foil Junker and it went for $2.699, which was quite a deal and the decision was made to sell it at a price that just before a point of resistance. A buyer came along to buy multiple copies and the card was sold for $3.69. Then, there was enough to purchase a Level 2 Gold Foil Water Caller.
After missing out on Cabalist, it was a good opportunity to buy low at $4.20 for this card.
There were support points at $4.15 and there was quite a bit of upside to this card. However, there was one issue that makes this card a bit difficult going forward and that is the lack of liquidity.
There haven't been many cards sold during the past week, but prior to this past week, there have been more cards sold. The hope is that the liquidity picks up again and this can sell at a 36% profit margin.
