Right now there's no integration- it's a totally separate coin community doing cool stuff hopping over and trying out Hive social media. Integrations, cross building, logins and other things may be in the future, but both ecosystems are fully staffed by volunteers who just build things they love because it's great. We may have tools to offer them, and our peeps may love their PoW private, fast coin~ but they want a home base to have a forum, and a Hive based community is a great place to do that :) so here they are!

They are technically older, 2014! They do have a founder, but he was just the first guy to start up the code and the nodes, he doesn't actually have controlling stake or ownership of the codebase~ They know almost all of the same struggles as us: no premine or ICO, no controlling corporate or VC or company, no foundation codebase ownership, they don't pay for exchange listings, they don't use market makers, everything is open source and grassroots built and maintained by volunteer community..... spiritually and ideologically Hive and DigiByte users are bound by the cypherpunk spirit. It's a pretty cool thing. Hopefully we'll see more of their users hopping in and starting to have blogs or conversation forums here in c/DigiByte~

They have! They're a super passionate community and there's a lot of overlap in our ideologies. For that reason alone it's a great idea to try to learn from each other and support the overall mission 🫡

Sometimes as crazy as we feel, we forget that this whole space sprang from the same ideas, and there are tons of people living and loving the decentralized way. Bonus if we can help more of them find each other using our tech stack. I'm a sucker for bringing friends together 😅

Nothing fancy with either coin yet~ we're starting with exploring having OG chains using web3 native socials, but I have no doubt tomorrow we'll have a chat on the space about community ideas and to think about what sorts of things we can do between our stacks 😊
