What is Conclave Arcana?

The Splinterlands game is based on cards, that is, a deck of cards that each player has available to play battles. Over time, a new card collection is released, causing the entire dynamics of the game to change.

That’s what happened in May 2025 when the new card collection called Conclave Arcana was released. I bought some card packs to try out the new features, and this post shows how we can use these cards in battles to earn rewards in this #Splinterlands game that is #play2earn!

The season ended and I managed to reach the Silver I league, which earned me some GLINTs and also reset me at the beginning of the season in Bronze II, where I am now. Before playing I decided to buy another Conclave Arcana pack and also 300 loot chests.

It was an interesting purchase because I received a legendary card, but I already talked about that in another post. Today we are going to analyze a battle that took place today!

Battle Analysis

The first thing we need to do is observe the ruleset to position ourselves regarding the changes in game mechanics due to rule variation. And for that we need to know which rules will be active.

In this case, chance offered us the opportunity to play with the standard rules, meaning no modifications. I quickly decided to use my level 2 summoners, which are few. The chosen one was my preferred:

Kavor Skarn is an excellent option because he has a low cost of only 3 MANA and allows the use of Dragon cards, which are a good complement to my deck, which is quite limited.

My strategy is based on the Inspire ability of the excellent Janni Rebel! She will provide one extra melee attack point to all team members. This will be our bet, so we need to choose a team focused on this type of attack.

My choices were based on this strategy, and we need to analyze what the opponent will assemble as a team to understand if we made a good choice.

When the battle started we saw that the opponent chose the same summoner Karvos Skarn but at level 1, maybe the opponent does not have this summoner at level 2. This is bad because he is limited to using level 1 cards, losing the activation of abilities that can make a difference in battles.

The possibility of having a tank with healing in the front line is very interesting, but remember that not everything that glitters is gold! Sometimes we must stick to the basics because the simple approach can be effective and a good path to victory.

Round 1

Here we have the opening of the battle and we see the different choices made by the players

We have some repeated cards but the core strategy for the opponent’s team seems non-existent. It looks like the cards were assembled randomly. This can be a problem and may decide the battle in my favor. Let’s look at the next round.

Round 2

Now we see what happens when you battle against an opportunity based team!

The opponent has already lost one of their important cards. And that’s not all, I still have a lot of strength to show! The boosted melee attack is crucial to keeping my team alive!

Round 3

We have reached a critical point where eliminating a card can break the balance of the match.

The opponent’s tank is gone and with it the possibility of healing, making it easy for me to eliminate with magical destruction. I have 6 magic attack points per round, enough to defeat the new tank, and I still have the melee attacker with opportunity.

Round 4

The battle is decided in my favor; it’s just a matter of time whether it ends in round 4 or 5.

Unfortunately one more round was needed, but the result was expected and was accurate!

Conclusion

I continue fighting in BRONZE 2 league, and this way I can try to reach leagues with better rewards.

O que é Conclave Arcana?

O jogo Splinterlands é baseado em cards, ou seja, um baralho de cards que cada jogador tem a disposição para jogar as batalhas. A cada tempo, uma nova coleção de cards é lançada, fazendo com que toda a dinâmica do jogo mude.

Foi isso que aconteceu em Maio de 2025 quando foi lançada a nova coleção de cards chamada Conclave Arcana. Eu comprei alguns packs de cards para poder experimentar as novidades, e esta postagem mostra como podemos usar esses cards em batalhas, visando ganhar as recompensas desse jogo #Splinterlands que é #play2earn!

A temporada acabou e eu consegui chegar na liga Silver I, o que me rendeu alguns GLINTs e também me colocou no reinício de temporada na liga Bronze II onde estou agora. Antes de jogar eu deicidi comprar mais um pack Conclave Arcana e também 300 loot chests.

Foi uma compra interessante pois recebi um card lendário, mas já falei sobre isso em outra postagem. Hoje vamos analisar uma batalha ocorrida hoje!

Análise de batalha

Primeira coisa que precisamos fazer é observar o ruleset para nos posicionar em relação as mudanças da mecânica do jogo devido a alteração das regras. E para isso vamos procurar saber quais regras estarão vigentes.

Neste caso o acaso nos ofereceu a oportunidade de jogar com as regras padrão ou seja, sem modificações. Eu logo decidi por utilizar meus invocadores em level 2, que são poucos. O escolhido foi o preferencial:

Kavor Skarn é uma excelente opção pois tem um custo baixo de apenas 3 MANA e propicia utilizar os cards Dragon, que são um bom complemento ao meu baralho que é bem limitado.

Minha estratégia é baseada na habilidade Inspire da escelente Janni Rebel! Ela vai fornecer um ponto extra de ataque melee para todos membros da nossa equipe. Isso será nossa aposta, então precisamos escolher uma equipe focada nesse tipo de ataque.

Minhas escolhas foram baseadas nessa estratégia e precisamos analisar o que o adversário irá montar como equipe para entender se fizemos uma boa escolha.

Quando a batalha abriu verificamos que o adversário escolheu o mesmo invocador Karvos Skarn mas em level 1, talvez o adversário não possua esse invocador em level 2. Isso é péssimo pois ele fica limitado a usar cards todos me level 1, perdendo a ativação de habilidades que podem ser o diferencial nas batalhas.

A equipe do adversário ficou assim:

A possibilidade de ter um tank com cura na linha de frente é muito interessante mas devemos pensar que nem sempre o que reluz é ouro! As vezes temos que nos restringir a fazer o básico pois o simples se mostra eficiente e um bom caminho para vitória.

Round 1

Aqui temos a abertura da batalha e vemos as diferentes opções feitas pelos players

Temos alguns cards que se repetem mas a essência da estratégia para a equipe adversário parece não existir. Ao meu olhar, foram juntados os cards disponíveis de forma aleatória. Isso pode ser um problema e talvez decida a batalha em meu favor. Para isso vamos ver o próximo round.

Round 2

Agora sabemos o que acontece quando se batalha contra uma equipe opportunity!

O adversário já teve um dos seus cards importantes massacrado. E isso não é tudo, ainda tenho muita força a demonstrar! O poder de ataque melee ampliado é crucial para manter minha equipe viva!

Round 3

Chegamos em um ponto crítico onde a eliminação de um card pode fazer o desequilíbrio da partida.

O tank adversário se foi e com ela a possibilidade de cura, tornando fácil a minha eliminação por destruição mágica, afinal tenho 6 pontos de ataque mágico por round, suficiente para eliminar o novo tank adversário, e ainda sobra o atacante melee com opportunity.

Round 4

A batalha está decidida em meu favor é apenas uma questão de tempo, se vai ser encerrada no round 4 ou 5.

Infelizmente foi necessário mais um round, porém o resultado era esperado e foi certeiro!

Conclusão

Sigo firme lutando na liga BRONZE 2, e dessa forma posso tentar chegar nas ligas de melhor premiação.
