Splinterlands | May Cards & SPS Accumulation!

The new Conclave Arcana set released for Splinterlands but I continue to mainly focus on picking up cheaper cards for Survival mode while I keep growing my SPS Beg. Since my last report, this is what I added...

Chaos Legion Dumped in Wild

So first of all, everyone who played Modern with Chaos Legion Cards saw them getting dumped into Wild which for this season has the Entry Tax Waved off as Survival Mode has been set on a pause one day to another.

This has resulted in average earnings in Wild coming down even further to around 4 to 4.5 SPS for each win.

I assume that some are trying to dump their cards right now with not that many buyers as Survival mode is on pauze while there still haven't been any new players yet.

A Max Level card like the Pelacor Conjurer right now goes for 2.34$ which is getting closer again to the DEC burn value. With the introduction of Survival Mode, I continued to buy some more of these cards re-investing my blogging earnings as I could put them to use and actually earn back a good part of the cost price over some time.

Welcome To The Family New Max Level Cards

These are the cards that I purchased last month and added to my collection.

New Max Level Promo Card!

The Oshuur Constantia is a card that I had my eye on for a long time and I missed it a couple time while someone was selling it for a relatively low price in the past. However, for Survival Mode, this is one of the cards that really is extremely useful with my playstyle and some of the strongest decks that I have. There are a total of 2.872 copies of this card which in case there would be another adoption wave would be really low. I paid 42$ for it also getting a bit of cashback while right now it goes for 42.47$ as the lowest sell price on the market. Once Survival Mode is back I will be able to have some fun with it again.

New Max Riftwacthers Card!

I already wanted to buy the Water Caller last month for my Survival Magic Team. However the price kind of went up and down for a Max Level copy but when I saw it for sale for 5.550$ I didn't hesitate and just picked it up right from the market. Right now on the market this one is going for 5.25$

Cheap Useful Chaos Legion Survival Double Cards!

With the introduction of Survival Mode, I could used some more of the key cards that I use regularly. The Cursed Windeku works excellent as a monster in low-mana matches to win while it runs the risk of getting killed. I paid 5.1$ (5.3$ Now) for an extra Max Level Copy. I also picked up 2 Naga Assasin Max Level Cards as I use it a lot in Speed Decks where it shines while if is still vulnerable and dies at times. I paid 2.731$ and 2.500$ While right now it is on sale for 2.65$.

Summoners remain the most useful and I enjoy playing Speed Sthispa so for 14.407$ (16$ now) I picked up another copy. I will be looking for some more cheap summoners as the Chaos Legion Rare ones are going for under 10$ now at max Level.

I also bought an extra Xenith Monk for 5.646$ (5.69$ now) as it's very useful also to win low-mana battles while it doesn't always stay alive. The Venari Crystalsmith provides some needed healing and I paid 2.799$ (2.78$ now) for that and the Mycleic Infantry combines very well with the Immortalis Summoner. At the time I bought it went for 3.09$ (2.64$) already having come down a bit, now though it goes for only 2.64$

The idea behind these cards is that they have limited downside as they are close to the burn value while they provide utility in Survival Mode allowing me to earn back a good part of the cost with upside price potential.

SPS Accumulation

I have not bough any SPS but managed to grow my holdings from 306580 SPS last month to 316435 SPS this month mostly thanks to Survival Mode. That is an increase of ~6800 SPS which at the current price is 70$+

Last TimeNow

However the value has dropped frop 4263$ to 3381$ and it's just not looking like any new players are coming in yet. The good thing though is that it looks like Splinterlands still is very much alive with a 2.5 Million dollar pre-sale while other games are getting abandoned left and right.

Conclusion!

I'm kind of enjoying the off-time now that Survival Mode is on pauze as I just let my bot run in Wild. The cards that I potentially look to pick up cheap now are mainly the max level summoners and I will continue to stack SPS Earnings.

Brawl earnings have shot up and it seems quite a few teams dropped off for this season with the new changes.

There are some good bargains to be had, Oshuur is so useful, I have been searching for ages.

At some point though new players really will have to start flowing in as prices just continue to fall on older cards and the Guilds kind of feel like a graveyard.

I still don't see the main selling point for new people to come in at the moment.

True, there is no reason for anyone to start playing this game, or even continue tbh.
