Share Your Battle Weekly Challenge: Djinn Inferni
Hello Splinterfam! Here I am back again for share your battle weekly challenge. For this week the card or monster featured is tha fire splinter Djinn Inferni. Djinn Inferni is one of my favorite card in fire splinter because if we take a look at his stats later on, he is a decent card though not many players use it, having him in your deck would help much and he could come in handy in some situation. Now let's take a look at Djinn Inferni's stats.
Djinn Inferni:
Edition - Chaos Legion
Rarity - Epic
Element - Fire
Attack - Magic
Abilities - Giant Killer (Obtains Stun at level 5)
Stats
If you look at the stats for max silver league level which is level 3 his Attack is 4 which is high for a silver level monster the his 4 speed is also high which is good because he is very squishy with 3 health and can be 1 shot by most monster. His high mana cost is what would make you use him very often. I would recommend placing him in the middle of your line up because he would easily die if there is a sneak monster. The weakness of this card is a monster with opportunity ability which could 1 shot him. His Giant Killer ability is good to have and to use on high mana cap battles for most likely opponent's tank would be a high mana cost monster which Giant Killer deals double the damage of Djinn Inferni.
Synergies
Rules in which Djinn Inferni is good to use:
Back to Basics - Monsters lose all abilities. (Since all monster wouldn't have any abilities there is no Sneak nor Opportunity so you can safely place Djinn Inferni at the back hitting like a truck with 4 magic damage)
Equalizer - The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health. (Since all monster have the same health, more likely Djinn Inferni's health would increase which would somewhat make up for his very low health)
Battle
Let's jump into battle. The rule set on this battle was:
Armored Up - All Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat.
Taking Sides - Neutral Monsters may not be used in battles.
99 mana cap with Fire, Earth, Death, and Dragon Splinter available to use. I decided to use Fire because of the high mana cap, my thought was opponent would likely use high mana cost tank and that Djinn Inferni is good in this battle to easily melt that tank.
The line up I used was:
- Skargore (To give Enrage to all my monster if got hit to further enhance their speed thus increasing survivability)
- Grum Flameblade (Tank with void and void armor ability plus the 5 armor is good. Making him a very good tank)
- Lava Launcher (2nd tank with armor and Close Range ability which enables him to attack when in front plus 4 damage)
- Djinn Inferni (Damage dealer that deals large damage against 10 above mana cost monsters. I placed him in the middle so that he would not die easily)
- Ash Mirage (To decrease Ranged attack of all opponent's monster. High speed monster with good damage and good ability, a must have card at least level 4 on silver league)
- Countess Sinash (Increase speed of all monsters plus the opportunity could come in handy if opponent decides to use support monster)
- Tinderlock (Decrease Magic attack of all opponent's monster plus the last stand also could clutch the battle of ever I'm in a tight spot)

The Battle went well and according to plan. I faced Grund, a 10 mana cap monster which would take a ton of damage from Djinn Inferni. He also used Obsidian whereas I use Grum Flameblade as my tank, an anti magic and Tinderlock, also an anti magic plus the low level summoner but I think still, if I am facing a maxed level silver league cards the outcome would still be the same.
Conclusion
I like Djinn Inferni and it is a good card to use because of his high damage and high speed he could be somewhat be called an anti tank (if you you happen to be up against a 10 mana cost tanks). The only thing I think his down side is his low health and high mana cost. You cannot fit him in all your composition because of how easy it is to kill him. I suggest pairing him up with a Taunt monster such as Coeurle Lurker to not risking Djinn Inferni dying the first round. Djinn Inferni is best used on high mana cap battles and if you predict that opponent would use a 10 above mana cost monster even if it is a low mana cap, by all means go with Djinn Inferni. I haven't tried using him in low to mid mana cap battles, I guess I would try to find a best rule of situation wherein I could use him no low mana cap battles.
