Splinterlands - Social media Challenge - A Battle of Lily Shieldpaws
Hello Friends,
We are at the mid of another great week and also almost into the last week of January!!!
Time has flown so fast and it's as if yesterday we celebrated the new year.
But, it's definitely a good start to the new year and I have been blogging almost every day and doing my bit to keep myself active on this wonderful Blockchain and has been active on X too.
This week's Social Media Challenge is with something new as it is with some new rules being incorporated while curating the blogs by Splinterlands community as they want to ensure the rewards earned are utilized for the growth of the game and Hive blockchain in general.
I totally agree with this and happy that I have been using the Hive and HBD earned to invest in Hive Power and other Second layer coins on Hive Engine and I have also used large part of my Hive into buying SPS as well as the staked SPS has grown to 85K for me.
Let's hope we all continue growing this wonderful community and also Hive Blockchain by contributing in whatever way we can.
For this week's Social Media Challenge, I would like to share a battle of Lilly Shieldpaw, the summoner from dragon splinter which provides camouflage to all the monsters and also gives an option to heal one of the backend monsters in each round.
So, I just wanted to make use of the triage ability and also since the battle I am sharing is with reverse speed ruleset, I wanted to make use of camouflage ability by placing a taunt monster in Agor Longtail at the backend and win this battle.
Here I go with the details.
Battle and Lineup:

The battle had 50 MANA cap and the only splinters active for this battle were Fire and Dragon.
The 50 MANA cap along with rule sets of reverse speed, close ranged and thorns made me to use a combination of ranged attack monsters.
Considering this, I thought of using Dragon splinter's amazing monster of Agor Longtail along with monsters combination as below.
Lineup:
1. Forgotten One:
Since the battle had the reverse speed ruleset and this monster with 2 speed and retaliate, pierce abilities, it made me to use at the front position as it will give 5 melee attack and has good health of 10 with armors of 5.
Since I had planned to use Agor Longtail in the last position, this monster will be under less pressure as the attack will be flowing towards Agor Longtail.
2. Lava Launcher:
The close range ruleset doesn't affect this as is already a close range attacker but the armors. good attack and stun ability it has, made me to use it in Second position and It wasn't required much since Forgotten One managed to stay for most part of the battle.
3. Sanctus Vicar:
Sanctus Vicar is a good monster for many reasons, when we plan to clear the debuffs this monster is a good one as it can cleanse the last monster and then subsequent ones in each round and it can also cleanse the front monster.
4. Spirit Hoarder:
As I had made my mind to use Agor Longtail in the last position to divert the attack, I thought of using this monster with triage ability to keep Agor active in the battle and this monster was never removed throughout the battle.
Besides triage, it also had blindfold ability and dispel to remove the additional buffs the monsters might have got.
5. Xenith Archer:
I just used this to accommodate the 2 remaining MANA cost as it can give 2 ranged attack for 2 cost.
6. Agor Longtail:
Used this specifically for diverting the attack from opponent and it has flying, healing and void magic abilities besides taunt and it is a dual attack monster as well.
The triage from summoner and also from Spirit Hoarder with cleanse from Sanctus Vicar means, this will stay for longer in the battle to keep attracting all the attack.
Here I am sharing few screenshots from the battle just to give a view of how this battle go.
That was a quick battle and opponent's monsters lacked more attack as he used a non attacking monster but his intention was to protect the front monster by building armors, but that didn't work out well.
Thanks for going thru this.
Thanks and Have a good day :)
