Trying My Hand On Mass Producing My NFTs
As a total noob to the world of NFTs I am very curious about the whole process to the point that I signed up for a couple of online classes just to learn about it better. One of the classes was an introduction to creating your own collections of NFTs using computer scripts. I have never heard of such a thing before but as an IT graduate, I do know such a thing is possible. Needless to say, I was super intrigued and spent the last 3 days going through the lessons and successfully creating some NFTs using the scripts. Of course, before the images could be generated I had to do my groundwork like preparing the base images from scratch and also preparing each and every image parameter (the eyes, mouths, background). Since I don't quite know how to draw digitally, I had to hand-drawn almost everything! 😅. Yes, it was a lot of work but I was very determined.
Image Parameter
Here are some of the image parameters I used.
The background
The body
The eyes
The Result
After struggling with it for a couple of days I managed to put everything together and here are some of the images (watch the above video). I admit the image quality is not so good but if I were to put up this collection on OpenSea I am likely to sell them cheap (Eth 0.004 or slightly lesser). Anyone here is interested to buy it? If someone put up a Yes in the comment section, I will put up this collection on OpenSea 😁
I know some people may look down on mass-produced NFTs but each of my generated NFTs is unique and not available anywhere else on the Internet. And to add value to it, I hand-drawn the whole thing except for the background.
Will I go in this direction (using computer scripts) to generate my future NFTs? I thought about it and my answer is NO. At least not at the moment. I still prefer to produce my art the traditional way because quality matters to me. Now, I am not looking down on people who used this method because I do see the value of doing it, and some of those computer-generated NFTs have top-notched quality. Mine just happened to be so and so simply because my design, computer skill is not there yet.
Anyway, having said that, I am currently working on my second NFT collection. It will be known as Oli Kawaii Verse. Here are some of the characters I have been working on.
What do you think of it? Yup, each character is hand-drawn from scratch and digitally edited. I will make a post about it soon. I think that's the update for now 😊
I have heard a lot about NFTs and how so many people are able to make money. Wishing you success on this journey. You are a talented artist and since you also have an IT background, you definitely have a good chance of success. Keep going.
Thank you so much!
Wow.. you can really be an NFT artist.. =) So good your artwork.. Where are you selling them?
Thank you. I am selling on OpenSea for now and currently working on my second collection.
