SPS Poll: What fees should new higher volatility v3 pools utilize?
This is part of a series of polls looking to gather feedback from the SPS DAO on how or if it wants to rework it's current DeFi strategy. There are a total of 5 polls which will be used to craft the proposals to ultimately allow stake weighted voting on key issues. Please participate in each of the polls so that you can help shape the proposals that will be put before the DAO.
What fees should new higher volatility v3 pools utilize?
Please note: the fee selected would mean that each transaction through the pool pays the liquidity provider that percentage of the value of the transaction. V3 liquidity providers can set their own fees. Higher fees can decrease volume. Lower fees can increase volume.
1.) .01%
The lowest fee possible. Makes the pool very easy to attract volume, but doesn't earn much without extremely high volume.
2.) .05%
The second lowest fee possible. Five times higher than the lowest, but still pretty tiny in the grand scheme of things.
3.) .25%
This is roughly in line with many centralized exchanges "maker/taker" fee on their order books.
4.) 1%
The highest fee possible. This makes attracting triangulated arbitrage more difficult as it requires higher volatility in the pools to become efficient. In short, lower fees are more efficient for traders.
This one is way over my head - went with the majority and sorry I don't understand it better.
But hey... I upvoted all 5 of your proposals and participated in them!
Thanks
