SPS DAO Project Manager Month 19 Invoicing and Recap
Howdy Splinterfolks, it's been another busy month and we've got quite a lot to go over today. Before we jump into all of that, I just want to say how awesome it has been watching and participating in the Conclave Arcana set design and release and I'm loving the feedback I've been seeing. It feels like this is the best "modern format" we've ever had in Splinterlands and I hope you guys are all enjoying it as much as I am!
First up, we had some contract renegotiations that needed to be done. In short, I was growing quite concerned with the rate at which the DAO was depleting it's non-SPL assets and I had been monitoring the situation for a while. We needed to make some swift and immediate changes to ensure the DAO remained solvent without needing to sell SPL assets or pulling funds out of liquidity pools. The DAO agreed and we managed to address those concerns for the near term.
In an effort to further address those concerns, I've been working on building consensus for the DAO to expand it's LP offerings and we're currently looking into setting up DAO run bridging for the SPS token. The ultimate goal here is to get the DAO in the black on expenses without having to sell SPS or DEC. I'll continue to monitor the results closely and will make the DAO aware if we need to consider additional measurers.
This month we finally had the initial rollout of the Ramp Network service to allow users from around the world to start buying SPS with credit cards and bank account transfers. The initial rollout is a bit limited and long term we're aiming for native HIVE token integration. I'll keep working on that and will let you guys know when we have more news. Steve and I have also set up a new DAO website and I am currently in talks with Unlimit to add another fiat onramp for the SPS token. The idea is to give the community as much coverage as possible to buy and (in some cases) sell SPS easily. Hopefully everything pans out and I'll have more information in regards to this partnership soon.
I also updated tournaments for the rollout of Conclave Arcana and am helping the team with the Scholar Showcase series. Most of the overstuff on my list is procedural and maintenance stuff, so I'll avoid boring you all with that stuff. There's a few other little projects in the oven that I'll share more about if they firm up.
