SPS in rank battle rewards

Let me start with DO NOT BURN SPS FOR DEC.

While DEC is no longer in rank battles rewards and people will need SPS you do not burn SPS for DEC. The average player should not burn SPS for DEC instead you should sell SPS on HIVE and buy DEC but the easier option is to swap SPS for DEC.

The best place to swap SPS for DEC is the swap page on BeeSwap. If you are burning SPS for DEC you are throwing away money and hurting yourself. Bulldog1205 did a video and evidently already 65K SPS has been burned for DEC.

If we look at using BeeSwap 1000 SPS is worth 79183 DEC and using the Convert function inside of Splinterlands 1000 SPS is worth 53769 DEC, that is a different of 22444 DEC or a lose of 33%. I used 1000 SPS but you can break it down to 10 SPS it's 791 DEC vs 537 or a difference of 224.

It is not worth burning SPS for DEC until DEC is at 0.001025 because $1 of SPS is 975 DEC, this is to cut down on market manipulation and there will be plenty of bot ready to burn SPS for DEC as soon as DEC goes over 0.001025. So the average player will just swap SPS for DEC outside of Splinterlands.

Now lets talk about SPS in rank battle rewards. As you battle and open chest any SPS earn will appear on the SPS page to claim, due to the volume of transaction the Splinterlands teams has already made it that you have to have 5 SPS before you are able to claim the SPS from ranked battle rewards and chest.

So how do you claim the SPS you have earned?
Start by clicking on the SPS token button at the top right of the Splinterlands page, as you can see your ECR is also here now.

Once you have 5 SPS you can click the "Claim All" button on the SPS page.

Once you have claimed your SPS it will show up under the Stake SPS part as you can see I've claimed 16.456 SPS from rewards so far as I had previously unstaked all my SPS for the LPs.

From there you have to understand the unstaking process. Say you have 100 SPS and decide to unstake, you'll want to unstake 4 time the amount you want. So say you want 25 SPS you'll unstake all 100 SPS you have. This will start the unstaking process which takes 28 days and you get 25% every 7 days. You can cancel the process at any point but if it hasn't been 7 days you will not receive any SPS and you can only cancel one the unstaking process has been started.

So after 7 days you get 25 SPS leaving you 75 SPS staked. At this point you can cancel the unstaking process. Say you've earned another 125 SPS during the 7 days your 25 SPS was unstaking. Now you have 200 SPS there and you can start the unstaking process again if you choose 100% you'll get 50 at the end of the 7 days. If you only need 25 for the week then you can unstake 50% and get 25 SPS in 7 days.

As you gain staked SPS you'll eventually start to earn SPS and Vouchers daily but it take a some minimum amount I haven't really earn any SPS or Vouchers with my little 16 SPS staked.

SPS proposals voting available

Also with this update came the stripped down version of SPS proposal voting. There is the first proposal up to get a gauge of participation. It doesn't matter how you vote on this one as long as you vote so they can get a sense of how many people will use it.

You'll get to the page by clicking on the SPS token at the top right and then the "Proposals" tab. Once there if you have earn more SPS you can click the "Power Up All" button to increase your voting power. From there you can click on the proposal number to read the proposal. Then click the "Yes" up arrow or "No" down arrow to vote on the proposal.

Splinterfest Tickets on Sale

With this update the Splinterfest tickets have gone on sale. You can click on "Shop" and the "Event" tab to buy your Splinterfest tickets.

This is all subject to change until officially announced
Aggy was active in discord the other day in the mav chat. Letting the mavs know they didn't have enough SPS, DEC, or Vouchers as there will be announcements every 2 weeks for the next 6 to 8 weeks. There announcements will be around SplinterFest, Genesis League Soccer, the tower defense game, and a still undisclosed project.

Aggy did drop some alpha saying the team was going to do a proposal to get a SPS pool together for the tower defense game. This SPS would come from SPS that was slated for the company / team but they would rather give it to the community if the proposal passed. If I understand him correctly, He also mentioned you'll be able to use your Splinterlands cards to take them on tower to boost the power of the tower. This also may be the way to earn the SPS from the tower defense pool.
