My Cards PeakMonsters

In this post we are going to review the functionality of sets, sorting, and filters on the "My Cards" page on PeakMonsters with a few tips and tricks.

Transaction queue

I want to point out in the transaction queue there is the keyboard icon and info icon.
With the keyboard icon it shows keyboard short cuts so you can see how to quickly do a number of things with you select you cards on the page. The info icon also shows you the maximum number of cards when doing these transactions.

Sets

Sets can be one of the most powerful things on PeakMonsters they will allow you to set up quick card selection for renting, delegation, locking / unlocking, even purchases or selling cards.

Lets start with creating a set, you simply select the cards you want in a set. This can be done manually or using filters we'll talk about in a bit.

Selecting cards for a set

Here I've just selected the first 3 cards listed. We click the transaction queue icon then we can click sets and create new set which will open a new window.

Create new set

Here we've named the set "Set demo", you see the three cards we select and we'll click create.

Then we can quickly display the cards in our "Set demo" set by select set demo in the filters options.

Select set demo

As you can see PeakMonsters checked the checked the option (the blue box) to show Cards "IN" set demo. The "IN" option is the default when select a set from the drop down list. Now we only see the 3 cards in set demo and nothing else.

Cards in set demo

We can change the option to "NOT IN" and see all the rest of the cards not in the set demo set. Which displays all the cards beside the 3 we have in set demo.

Cards not in set demo

So why is this useful well after you select a set then you can use the "Select All" to select all the cards in a set and then preform the action you want against the cards in that set, this can be to delegate / undelegate the cards to an account , rent / cancel rentals / update the rentals, lock / unlock the cards, and you can list them for sale. I don't know if you'd use a set for selling, burning, etc because the set is tied to the specific card(s) in the set. So once sold or burn there wouldn't be any cards in the set. Though I guess it could be useful to list a set of cards for sale and be able to see what cards are left to sell.

So after you have created a set what if you want to modify that set? You can go back to the transaction queue area select sets and manage sets.

Select manage sets

This will bring up a new window to manage your sets, I select my Renting set. You will see the pencil icon clicking this brings up the area to change the name of the set. You enter the new name in "New set name" textbox and the "Save" button we'd click to save the new name.

I picked my renting set as I have moved or combined cards that were in this set. It shows what happens when you no longer have a card in the set, as you can see the cards are red. You have the trash can icon next to each card in the set which will allow you to delete the cards from the set. You also have the "Delete" button at the bottom to delete the whole set.

If you delete cards from a set when you are done you simply click the "Close" button to close the window or select a different set to manage.

Manage sets

You can also select a card(s), click the transaction queue, then click the sets drop down. Here you can add or remove a cards from a set.

Set add remove cards.png

Now you can create a set, manage a set, and delete the set... what you put in the sets and how you use them is up to you!!!.

Sort

This is a simple but powerful feature you can click on any of the heads highlighted in green and sort the column either in ascending or descending order. By default the "Cards" column is sorted and you can see the caret putting down click this will change order from descending to ascending order. As you click on each column to set the caret will move to that column and start in descending order.

We talked about the blue banner for rentals about to expire in the past but clicking the check now applies filters to so the cards you are renting and then sorts them to show the cards about to expire at the top. You can do the same thing clicking the "Delegated To" column though I find of all the columns that sort this one is a bit unreliable as it doesn't order it as well as "Check Now" does and cards with more time will be inter mixed in the sort.

Sort cards

Filters

When you are on the "My Cards" page you will notice filters running down the right hand side of the page.

Filters

  • Sets
We actually show the first filter with sets. This filter allowed up to select our set demo set and say if we wanted to see the cards "IN" the set or see the cards "NOT IN" the set.

When you use apply a filter the cards displayed will only match that filter. What this means is the information at the top of the page changes to show the value, CP, rental income, rental cost, etc only for the cards filtered on. With the set demo set selected we only see the value and CP for the three cards selects and no rental information because they are not rented out and they are no cards in the set we are renting.

Filters applied change the information at the top of the page

  • Text Filters
The next set of filters you can filter by is the card name, id, or ability on a card. As you type PeakMonsters will filter all the cards based on what you type. You can search for Living Lava by name or you can type shield since it has the shield ability and it will be displayed along with other cards that have the shield ability. If you delete some text you need to hit enter for it to apply the filter but when you first type and as long as you type more characters then present it will automatically filter shortly after you are done typing or you can press enter to apply the filter.

Along that same line you can filter cards by level to see all lv 5 cards, this will only show you cards that are exactly level 5 not over.

You can also filter by CP and say pick 5 CP to see all 5 CP cards.

Text filters

  • By Edition
Next we can select one or more different editions such as Untame and Chaos Legion. You can also click while pressing ctrl to quick select one edition. This is useful if you had multiple editions select this will clear the other and only select the one edition you clicked. This also a check box to display Gladius cards, this option if checked will only show Gladius cards otherwise uncheck it doesn't show them.

There is a "Clear" button for this section which will clear all options selected here. You will see through out different sections. I wish there was a "Clear" button at the very top so you can clear all your selections, I often just refresh the page to do this if I have a lot of options set instead of manually clearing those that don't have a clear button and clicking the clear button for everyone I've use that has a clear button.

Along with select the edition by edition you can select modern or wild as well as just the rewards cards for Untamed or Chaos Legion.

Edition filters

  • General
Next we can select "Regular" foil cards or "Gold" foil cards these options when clicked will deselect the other option. The same is "Summoners" and "Monsters" selecting one deselects the other. These will show only regular foil or only gold foil cards as well as only summoners or only monsters. The two options can be used together. When you select "Monsters" You can further select to see only melee, range, magic, or no attach monsters, this set of options are mutually exclusives also so are you click one it will deselect any other option you had selected if you had one selected.

You all of these you can simply deselect the option to stop filtering your cards on these options.

General filters

  • Rarity and Element
Here you can click on either rarity or element you want to filter on. As with the edition options you can select multiple options or cltr + click to deselect anything already selected and select just that rarity or element. Each section quick selection (cltr + click) and clear work only for their own section. Meaning if you have water selected as your element and cltr + click rare rarity it will only deselect other rarities and same for clear it will only clear raities or elements selected.

Rarity and element filters

  • Others
Here we have a lot of useful options. You can select all the cards you have for sale or cards that are not for sale. The same goes for renting, delegated, owned, and locked.

For Cooldown you also have the option of rentable, any card on cooldown isn't rentable if you played the cards or if it was played by someone else and not rented out to them by you.

Rental Mismatch is a useful option when you use the "Compare your rentals" button at the top. You then can enter a number here and select weather the rental mismatch is up or down. So say we enter 1 here and the "^" arrow is pointed up then we'll see all rentals who's price has went up by more than 1X. This can be useful for finding rentals you want to cancel or change the price. Then be able to select all of them at once.

Last you can enter a name and see all the cards you have delegated out to specific person. The "~" means to include them. You can click the "~" and select "!~" to not include the cards delegate to the person you entered.

Other filters.png

  • Advanced
Lastly we have advance filter options, as the info icon states these options are unclick with Premium subscription or at a specific tier level. I am only level 5 so I don't know if there are other options but the "Duplicates" options unlocks at Tier 3 and the other 2 options are part of the Premium subscription.

The duplicates option is nice for a lot of reason if you click "Top" it will show your top regular and top gold card for each. If you select "Others" it will show all the other cards that are not your top card. So what do we mean by "Top" well say you have a card at lv 5 and that is the highest lv you have that card then it is your top card. So when you click "Top" it will show the lv 5 card. If you click "Others" it will show any other cards for that specific card that isn't lv 5 if you own any more of that card.

I have not gotten the change to use the "Rented for" or "Recently Used" but this allows you to select all the cards you have rented out (not just listed for rent) or used in the last 3, 5, or 7 days. This can be useful to find cards you may not play so you can rent them out or find cards that just are not renting and decide what to do with them.

Advance filters

Summary

This brings to the end of the "My Card" page please ask questions if you have them and / or let me know if I missed something or didn't explain it well enough and I can update / add that information.

I apologize this is bit of a longer post but sets and filters took a bit and I didn't think it would have helped if I split them up.
