Greetings SplinterLovers ๐
Happy start to the week, everyone in my favorite community! Today we have the pleasure of talking about a card that is as beautiful as it is deadly, belonging to my favorite splinter directly from the Dragon element and the Arcane Conclave set. I present to you the vibrant and terrifying unit called Calamity, a Legendary card that brings chaos and electricity to any battle.

What makes it so appealing: Fire and neon in a single dragon

Calamity It's not your typical dragon with gray scales; it's a very beautiful dragon with vibrant colors, an adorable baby dragon, or at least that's how I see it.
Style: It is a creature that combines the shape of a lizard or a baby dragon with a pattern of neon colors (blue, electric, magenta, yellow, etc.) that looks like something out of a colorful dream. I was really surprised by the illustration on this card. In fact, it's the first time we've seen something so colorful in the game.
Form: Her violet eyes are intense and playful, and her tentacles, fins, and the aura surrounding her as she holds a sphere of energy suggest that she is a master of transformation and elemental magic.
Visual Strength: Its design is so unique that you know you're looking at a Legendary card. It's a unit with a vibrant beauty, something that has never been seen before, but I love it. It's a one-of-a-kind dragon, and this is evident not only in its design but also in its abilities, which we'll see shortly.

Abilities and Stats: A Tank Dragon with a harmless appearance but strong and very resilient.

Calamity is a Legendary card designed to be a low-mana nightmare, which is indispensable when one of the conditions of battle, such as the mana required to summon, is low.
| Statistics | Level 1 | Level 2 | Level 3 | Level (Mรกx) | What It Means |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cost of Mana | 4 | 4 | 4 | 4 | Fixed cost, great value for its power. |
| Magic Attack | 3 | 3 | 3 | 3 | Constant damage that maximizes the ability called Life Leech from the start. |
| Shield | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | Trust 100% in your Vida points |
| Life | 9 | 9 | 10 | 10 | Very high health, increases at Level 3 for more endurance. |
| Speed | 4 | 4 | 4 | 4 | Excellent speed to be one of the first to attack in most battles. |
Note: The consistency of her Magic Attack (+3 points) and Speed (+4 points) at all levels, combined with her high hit points, makes Calamity one of the most valuable and powerful Mana 4 Legendaries in the entire "Arcanum Conclave" set.
Calamity is a card that adapts and grows stronger as the game progresses, with an epic evolution of abilities:
1. Shapeshift - From Level 1: It is a card that can be adapted to practically any type of battle, as its bloodline is compatible with any of the existing ones.
Adaptation Strategy: Since it can be played and/or combined with virtually any "Bloodline," there are an infinite number of combinations that can be applied.
2. Electrified - From Level 1: All allied units receive -1 damage at the start of round 2 and subsequent rounds, so when playing this card, you need to combine it with resilient cards, as its high power comes at a cost.
Resistant units: Play it with resilient units, because taking -1 damage each round on all your units can take its toll over the course of the game.
3. Life Leech - From Level 2: You gain 50% more Life for each successful attack you land, and the best part is that it is rounded up, so with a magic attack, you can be sure that your card's life points will increase accordingly for each successful attack.
The Immortal Tank: This is the key: every time it hits with its 3 Magic attack points, it gains health points, making it a difficult tank to defeat.
4. Expose - From Level 3: For each successful attack, the target has an 80% chance of losing (Forcefield, Lookout, Deflect, Shield Void, Void Armor, Cleanse, and Immunity), with Immunity taking priority over the rest.
Abilities remover: It helps each attack target lose key abilities, which will help make our lineup stronger than the opponent's during battle.
5. Last Stand - From Level 4 When it is the only allied monster remaining, its Speed, Attack, and Life are multiplied by 1.5.**.
The End of the World: If it survives until the end, its attack, healing, and speed become so high that it can win games on its own, so perhaps placing it in the last position is quite beneficial.

When is it best and worst to use it?

Calamity thrives in long battles and against melee or even ranged attackers.

Low Mana Rules (12-16 Mana): Its cost of 4 Mana and 9 Health is insane. It's the best low-cost card for dominating this rule. Of course, it depends on the context of the battle, but in general, it's incredible for this type of battle.
Equalizer Gain the same amount of health as the unit with the most health on my side of the field, which will undoubtedly allow me to dominate the battlefield.
Wands Out: A very good rule in which only cards with "Magic" attacks are allowed, and although this card may seem vulnerable, the reality is that thanks to its "Life Leech" ability, it will manage to take control of the field.

Aim True: Eliminates the possibility of units missing attacks, meaning that attackers who deal a lot of damage, mainly (Melee and Ranged), will not miss their attacks, which can decrease their resistance.
Reverse Speed: Calamity's high Speed (4) penalizes her in this rule, causing her to be the last unit to attack.
Back to Basics: This rule disables ALL of her abilities and debuffs (Life Leech, Electrified, Last Stand, etc.), leaving her as a 3-for-4 Mana magic attacker, so I don't recommend using her. Although she has good health and attack, it can be risky.

Conclusion

Calamity is a masterpiece in Splinterlands, her psychedelic design is pure art, and her abilities make her a magical attacker who heals faster than she can be damaged. She is a Legendary investment that offers you versatility, defense, and incredible power (thanks to Last Stand).
If you like playing with Dragon Splinter, are looking for a card with a spectacular look, and want a Legendary unit that can win battles on its own, then you need this beautiful card in your deck.
With nothing further to ad ๐d, until next time, "Splinterlords."
