Dog Collar Matches

In my article yesterday I talked about why I thought that speed was the most important stat of the three (speed, damage & health points). Whilst I believe this to be true for all standard matches, we already know that there will be some different match types that will be released at some point after the initial game release.

Today I will talk about Dog Collar matches and also talk about which wrestlers I believe will be clutch in this type of match.

First we need to understand how the dog collar match differs to a standard match. From what we have been told, in a dog collar match, moves will never miss. Essentially the gimmick is that your wrestler and your opponent wrestler will both have dog collars on which are linked by a chain, so there is no chance of escape when one wrestler attempts a move on the other.

Because of this speed becomes much less important as you won't be able to evade your opponents move, it will still determine who moves first, so you still need to give it consideration. Due to the match conditions you want your chosen wrestler to be doing as much damage as possible as well as having as big a health pool as possible. In this scenario I would say that damage is marginally more important than health points, but is only marginally.

What Wrestlers Would Be Best in a Dog Collar Match?

For me the real standout performers (based on all wrestlers being level one) would be:
Male - Chase Martin & Titan
Female - Akemi Ishi & Lexi Lawless
Tag - Bevin Brothers, Brothers in Arms & Muskh Sheik

One correction to this. This match type will set both wrestlers to 0 speed. Meaning speed is taken out of the equation completely. It will be 50/50 every round who attacks first. !1UP
