Waka Spiritblade will serve multiple functions depending on which blockchain the NFT is on WAX has a brand new Augmented reality function with this Splinterlands card I have personally never encountered. HIVE of course would allow you to utilize Waka Spiritblade in game.

Excited doesn't cover my feelings about this new snapchat enabled augmented reality based function on a WAX Splinterlands NFT.

A Standard rarity Waka Spiritblade NFT gets the version shown above the silver totem version. The gold or foil version would get the gold totem shown below.

Ill nerd out on just how special that is in a moment, but first just stop & consider these Waka Spiritblade NFTs can be used in Ranked Splinterlands matches. Meaning you can loose a match of a phantasy NFT game to a rappers likeness turned Splinterlands monster.

That's so meta in & of itself to the point where I'm starting to loose track of reality. Go even further they say & make the WAX version a downloadable Snap chat augmented reality filter.

Needless to say these NFTs will be pricey & rare 1,000 total 40 gold versions total.

The Waka Spiritblade card is sold at max level 4 making this card unique for many reasons.

Feared but respected given your odds of getting your ass kicked by one will be rather low, Something I would be happy to loose to switch it up a little.

Not a Yu-gi-oh or Pokémon card but a Splinterlands NFT this is going to be done right. Though the sale starts on February 24th you can already see the effect this is having on the Splinterlands Crypto market.

Splinterlands devs flexing their blockchain skills on this NFT pulling out all the stops, fans get complacent & forget they have this in them.

Stomping out on the WAX NFT market saying to the new WAX collections let me show you young-ins how its done, this is how you implement a smart contract on a NFT portal system like a boss.

HIVE play to earn game integrated NFT with separate AR Snapchat functionality through WAX, to just take it to far they get a partnership going with a rapper Waka Flocka Flame on a single NFT.

While this might at first glance appear simplistic especially if your a Splinterlands fan using both blockchains regularly. I assure you this is a ground breaking achievement on their part never before seen in this industry.

When the Waka Spiritblade NFTs launch, rest assured this will be a historical moment.

I will stop fan nerding out for a moment to go over my last seasons rewards for Splinterlands. As well as explain some of the Splinterlands rewards mechanisms & tokenomics.

Splinterlands Season rewards

In Splinterlands they have a in game seasonal rewards for ranked match players that perform well enough to qualify for them that season.

This last season I hit diamond rank tier 3, this rewards 40 of what they call loot chests containing within them rewards cards (NFTs), Chaos Legion packs, potions, or DEC / Credits.

Splinterlands Rewards explained

In addition to receiving seasonal rewards with loot chests players can also play daily challenges.

Daily challenges rewards more loot chests the higher your rank, in addition to receiving more loot chest, the rewards in them have a greater chance of being more valuable.

No one said card games but yeah Splinterlands is an NFT based card game similar to yu-gi-oh or magic the gathering.

Ranking up requires you to both win ranked matches & have the appropriate level of what they call account power determined via the burn value of all your playable cards.

Blending cards increases their level & burn value, a summoner Cards level at higher ranks allow the player to utilize higher level monsters of the same or neutral type.

Renting good & higher level cards is the cheapest way to build account power.

Account power also determines partially the DEC award per
ranked match won, the DEC rewards are based in a liquidity pool which restocks each season. Basically this means the beginning of the season you earn more DEC, if you noticed before competition gets fierce this is why.

As you may already know SPS for the duration of the airdrop is awarded based on what assets you own including DEC.

Given you need Vouchers & SPS Vouchers earned via staking SPS in game makes sense you would want to produce as much of both as possible.

Waka Spiritblade Market effects

Now not anywhere near what the Chaos legion packs cause its is likely that both Voucher & SPS prices will increase as the sale draws ever closer. Most people like myself wont necessarily be in the market for the Waka Spiritblade card personally. That doesn't mean we cant profit on selling others the crypto.

Not only are SPS + Vouchers already increasing in value since NFTs such as cards, packs, & land plots have also began shooting up in value.

I believe the WAX market prices are increasing due to the in game sales of the Waka Spiritblade requiring SPS, which can be earned via the airdrop & ownership of Splinterlands assets.

I sold that card on WAX for $1 I paid $0.78 minus the market fees its still a $0.18 profit.

Again its my preference to sell on WAX markets while buying on HIVE markets while the in game market of Splinterlands is awesome. I have started using card auctions to buy on HIVE.

When buying or selling on WAX I utilize Nefty Blocks, the idea being to maximize profits. Card auctions & Nefty Blocks have discounts for users so they minimize expenses.

Free Play to earn games help

A firm believer in not paying out of pocket for these games as its not a great investment the markets are highly volatile. So how can you afford something if your not paying for it out of pocket?

I find playing free play to earn games helps considerably reduce expenses.

Of course if you are playing Splinterlands daily challenges that's the best way simply playing the game.

Why Waka Spiritblade is so impressive

To me the difficulty of implementing an NFT with multiple functions on Multiple blockchains is not something to be underestimated.

Out of the 4 NFT collections I have personally used the NFT portal systems on & the 6 I'm aware of on WAX I have only seen 1 other NFT colection do something like the Splinterlands Waka Spiritblade.

That would be the KOGs mint lab which utilizes ETH NFTs to mint WAX KOGs but this is less complex as its not an NFT portal but a usage on both blockchains. Simply transferring then burning the ETH NFT utilizing that transactional data to mint a WAX NFT.

In other words typically if you have the same NFT on multiple blockchains one usually simply serves as a place holder. Allowing you to buy or sell it on one blockchain but needing to be transferred to the primary Blockchain to be properly utilized in a game.

Waka Spiritblade is the first time I have heard of a multiple functionality NFT, which is determined by what blockchain it is currently on.

I can honestly say this blew my mind, its not often am I surprised by WAX NFTs. Splinterlands Devs are some of the most talented in the industry & the Waka Spiritblade NFT is certainly a example of that.
