Luck , castles and cards…☘️
Earlier this morning, I bought six packs from the Splinterlands store. So far, this is not really unique or extraordinary, I guess many players, maybe even hundred's, were doing the same.
But the story doesn’t start or end there.
Let’s begin at the end: I bought and opened six Alchemy packs (the ones that guarantee at least one Gold Foil card), hoping for some Gold Foil cards to add to my Gold foil brawling account. I was extremely lucky!
I got 3 GF common’s, 2 GF rare’s, 1 GF rare Archon.
So far, so good.
All within the expected.
Then I got a GF Epic.
But then it got even better!
I pulled a Black foil rare 🥳
And if you think all of this was extremely lucky, this wasn’t everything!
I pulled a GF Archane common as well, my first! 🤯
Here’s the link to the opening:

But to tell the truth, the story is even crazier:
I sold two epic totem fragments today which I’d gotten from my castle 🏰 in Kithden, was wavering between buying missing cards (I’m trying to complete my Conclave Arcana legendaries for my main account) or taking my chances with new packs. The decision to buy packs won, I guess I’m sort of addicted to pack opening 😁.
So I bought 5 alchemy packs and black potions to match, and opened the packs:

I got a GFL and a common BF!
So I flipped the GFL (I already have that one in my alt account for the GF brawls) and bought another six alchemy packs with the DEC.
These were the packs with the GFA common and the BF rare…
So all of this is still residual luck 🍀 from the castle I got from a land token bought off Hive two years ago, I guess.
Luck🍀
