Xenith Archer - Solid Support

Featured this week in the Battle Challenge is the Xenith Archer. This card isn't a game changer, but is a solid low mana suppport card, and being neutral it can find a place in many teams.

For my featured battle (battle link) I have chosen one from my Bronze account where the Archer contributes a solid performance.

The Back to Basics rule set means that the Archer is protected from any Sneak, Snipe, or Opportunity attacks. Also notice that she goes at the very back or the lineup. This is in contrast to my opponent who placed their ranged cards in front of the magic - a mistake that will cost them, especially since those ranged cards are their higher damage output.

The first two rounds are fairly uneventful, just beating down the front line tanks. The extra armour and speed boost from Kelya are a help here since my opponent has only the two magic damage.

With the front line down my opponent's real weakness shows. Their back up tank, the Xenith Monk, has only 6 health, and once it has been taken down their ranged attackers move to the front and they start losing damage output.

Once that happens they just don't have the damage to defeat Djinn Oshannus, and the steady output from my back line cleans up their remaining low health cards.

Conclusion

Thew Xenith Archer isn't a flashy card, but she fits comfortably into that last 2 mana spot on many teams.

Dear @cherute, sorry to jump in a bit off topic but may I ask you to support the HiveBuzz proposal?
It recently lost its funding, is struggling to get back above the HBD stabilizer proposal, and is in dire need of help.
You can support it on Peakd, Ecency, Hive.blog or using HiveSigner.

On behalf of The HiveBuzz team, thank you!
