All this hype about NFT is crazy. The popularity is literally growing not only in crypto fans/user circles only. Also celebrities, social media influencers, and people that got this bag of money that doesn't know what to do anymore with their money. I'm sure you've seen some of the popular and expensive NFT clubs like Bored Ape Yacht Club and Cryptopunks. Question is, which one is the most expensive one? Here is the top 10 most expensive NFT by far (2022 updated).

  1. X Copy’s A Coin for the Ferryman, $6.034m

Let's start from the 10 place. I personally think it looks unique. It is an amalgamation of scribbled faces with a colorful background. It is called a Coin for the Ferryman and was created in 2018. It actually sold on November 4, 2021 for over $6m.

What makes it more interesting is the creator making it out as a GIF which is something the owner could show it off proudly. Because it is different. There may be another piece like this one. Yall can copy, but it will never be the same.

  1. Beeple’s Crossroad, $6.6m

Beeple crossroad is an animated NFT created by Mike Winkelmann. Beeple’s Crossroad is actually just a short 10 second movie of sorts, depicting people walking past a large, fallen body with insults written all over it. I personally like it. I found it cool. However Beeple’s works are so highly respected because they create something slightly different from the regular NFTs you see.

The NFT was sold for $6.6m in February 2021 on Nifty Gateway, but the sale execution was made on the secondary market.

  1. CryptoPunk #7804, $7.6m

The #7804 is one of just nine ‘Alien’ CryptoPunks. It has a cool cap, pipe, and shades to boot. It was sold for $7.6m.

  1. CryptoPunk #3100, $7.67m

 " " \" \"cryptopunk-3100-e1639829899899.webp\"\"""

On March 11, 2021, Another Alien punk, but this time the piece has a blue&white headband in it. CryptoPunk #3100 is part of the 9 Alien Punks series, also the seventh most rare CryptoPunk out there. Sold for $7.67m.

  1. CryptoPunk #7523, $11.75m

 " " \" \"cryptopunk-7523.webp\"\"""

They say #7523 is the third rarest in the collection. It is called as "Covid Alien" because the piece has a beanie and mask on it and was sold for $11.75m. The NFT belonged to a series of rare aliens, which consisted of 9 “Alien Punks.”

  1. CryptoPunk #5822

 " " \" \"cryptopunk-5822.jpg.webp\"\"""

I bet you've seen this before. CryptoPunk is all over the internet. It has become a trend I would say. It is known as one of the most expensive NFT clubs. The super-expensive ‘alien’ style CryptoPunks is 5822 and it sold for over $23m on February 12, 2022. WTF.

  1. Beeple’s HUMAN ONE, $28.985

 " " \" \"img8_top10.webp\"\"""

This is also one of my fav. Space thing. Astronaut. The concept attracted numerous investors at Christie’s, but it was crypto billionaire Ryan Zurrer who snapped it up on December 9, 2021 for $28.985. KRAZY.

  1. Clock, $52.7m

 " " \" \"assange-clock-nft-e1644582165588.jpeg.jpg\"\"""

‘Clock’. I know what you are thinking. A fuken clock? As NFT? This piece is created by Pak and Julian Assange. Shockingly it almost acts literally as a clock. It does counting the days that WikiLeaks founder Assange has been imprisoned. The goal of the NFT was actually to raise funds and purchased by AssangeDAO. Funds for Assange's legal defense.

  1. Everydays: the First 5000 Days, $69.3m

 " " \" \"the-first-5000-days.jpeg.jpg\"\"""

Yeah another Beeple piece and the most expensive NFT ever sold to one sole owner. The artwork was auctioned at Christie’s with an initial bid of roughly $100 made by traditional. It only took an hour for the piece to skyrocket to more than $1 million, with the final result being $69 million for the piece completed on the 21st of February 2021. There is a fun fact about this NFT. The art piece was bought by MetaKova. HW is the pseudonymous founder of Metapurse, an NFT investment fund. He wants everyone to download and copy this expensive NFT he bought. Weird? Yeah. Because he believes in free information. Wow what a different of viewing things.

  1. Pak’s ‘The Merge’, $91.8m

 " " \" \"img10_top10.webp\"\"""

I can't breathe when I see the numbers. Fucking $91.8m for NFT? This NFT is called The Merge created by an anonymous digital artist nicknamed Pak. A fuken anonymous sold this artwork for a fucking $91.8 million on Dec 6 2021 on the NFT decentralized marketplace Nifty Gateway. However, the piece was fractionalized to 312,686 pieces with almost 30.000 collectors. Now this makes more sense if this NFT is on the 1st place.

Those are the 10 most expensive NFTs of all time. I hope you enjoy it. If you do please give me an upvote and leave a comment down below. Let's interact don't attack!
