Rising Star Pumps 250%: Here's Why

Everyone who follows me knows that @risingstargame is my favorite thing on hive. But many don't know that it was my introduction to https://blockchaingaming.com/ that got me started.

@wagginston explained things to me in their discord and my Journey to Rock Stardom and my Millionaire status began. I was hooked. Rising Star just struck a chord with me. (see what I did there?)

Fast forward to Monday night when I noticed the struggling Starbits price pumping to over 250%. Like most, I had no clue what was happening until @wagginston dropped this little doozy of a post announcing a new rising star liquidity pool.

Take Rising Star, for example. Players directly earn STARBITS for the musical missions they run in solo play. To get STARPRO directly, they had to burn them by bidding in Music Promoter. Oftentimes, however, the price of STARPRO would be cheaper on the market; if they wanted to get some with their STARBITS, players first had to sell them for SWAP.HIVE, which reduced the value of STARBITS.

The STARPRO:STARBITS pool solves this problem. Players can now swap their STARBITS for STARPRO directly and see the conversion rate between them. It’s up to arbitrage agents to balance that rate with the other pools and the order books. But due to the pool’s relatively huge size, you can buy much larger amounts of STARPRO than you could get from Music Promoter, which only distributes 100 a day to players.

As always I panic traded because I don't know how to trade but once I relaxed I realized that I'm a great button pusher. I do my Rising Star Missions pretty much all day and my starbits rack up.

I traded a tiny bit of starbits and now I need to focus on Starpro which I previously avoided because of lack of liquidity. Hopefully you too made a little profit on the pump and entered the pool.

Time to build those stacks!

I got little early , yesterday I sold 150K starbits to buy starpro and I paid double price that currently exist in pool.

But anyway , now I we have efficient market.

I don't know how to buy from the pool. but that's where starpro would be cheapest I suppose

That's why there was no announcement I guess. Becasue it wasn't rising star that made the pools.

I hadn't seen the starbits pump so far! To have a pool to swap starbits to starpro is huge! This will take a lot of sell pressure away from the starbits.

I didn't thought that the value of Starbits would increase now. I was thinking of buying when the price is at around 0.00005 Hive and start stacking for a million Startbits but I had my doubts. Maybe, it's a bit late for the discounted price now. 😭
