Happy Quokka 🐭| Splinterlands Art Contest SPT W-351
Con mucho cariño les envío un gran saludo en esta hermosa mañana, deseándoles no solo un excelente día, sino también un maravilloso y relajante fin de semana. Espero que se encuentren muy bien. Cada semana que compartimos en esta comunidad es un regalo, y me hace mucha ilusión poder sumarme una vez más con una nueva representación. Hoy quiero presentarles mi participación para el concurso de arte de @splinterlands de esta semana. En esta ocasión, me dejé llevar por la ternura y la alegría que caracteriza al adorable Happy Quokka, uno de los personajes simpáticos y llenos de vida del universo de Splinterlands. Decidí representarlo con un estilo que disfruto muchísimo al hacer y es el estilo chibi. Este estilo tan encantador me permite exagerar las proporciones, resaltando lo más expresivo y tierno de los personajes, y con Happy Quokka fue una combinación perfecta. Espero que les guste mucho mi representación de esta ocasión.

Every week that we share in this community is a gift, and it makes me very excited to be able to join once again with a new representation. Today I want to present my entry for this week's @splinterlands art contest. This time, I let myself be carried away by the tenderness and joy that characterizes the adorable Happy Quokka, one of the cute and full of life characters of the Splinterlands universe. I decided to represent him in a style that I really enjoy doing and that is the chibi style. This charming style allows me to exaggerate the proportions, highlighting the most expressive and tender of the characters, and with Happy Quokka it was a perfect combination. I hope you like my representation of this occasion.

Etapas del Dibujo/Drawing Stages
Empecé con los bocetos iniciales y limpios, con un trazo suave que me permite explorar sin comprometerme demasiado. Me concentré en conseguir una postura juguetona y saltarina tal como la criatura base. La cabeza debía ser grande, con orejitas redondas bien marcadas, ojos enormes y brillantes, y una sonrisa abierta. Dibujé a Happy Quokka abrazando con ilusión su mazorca, como si fuera el tesoro más preciado de su mundo.
I started with clean, initial sketches, with a soft stroke that allows me to explore without overcommitting myself. I concentrated on getting a playful, bouncy pose just like the base creature. The head was to be large, with well-defined round ears, huge bright eyes, and a wide-open smile. I drew Happy Quokka excitedly hugging his cob, as if it were the most precious treasure in his world.

Empecé con una base de tonos marrones suaves para el pelaje de Happy Quokka, utilizando variaciones de color para dar más naturalidad y calidez. Agregué detalles blancos en la frente para aportar contraste y así resaltar su copete blanco. Para la mazorca, usé amarillos dorados y verdes vibrantes, dándole textura con sombras suaves y reflejos para que se viera bastante natural. El fondo fue un trabajo de capas, con tonos verdosos para las hojas del maíz, creando una atmósfera campestre de campo de maíz.
I started with a base of soft brown tones for Happy Quokka's coat, using color variations to give more naturalness and warmth. I added white details on the forehead for contrast to highlight his white topknot. For the cob, I used golden yellows and vibrant greens, giving it texture with soft shadows and highlights to make it look quite natural. The background was a layered work, with greenish tones for the corn leaves, creating a country cornfield atmosphere.

Usé capas para las sombras y también trabaje con diferentes capas para dar iluminación fusionándolas luego. También incluí reflejos en los ojos para acentuar la emoción del personaje y texturas suaves en la mazorca para que resaltara aún más su aspecto. Finalmente, me dediqué a pulir pequeños detalles con algunos brillos extras, ajustes de saturación y equilibrio de color. Revisé que el conjunto tuviera armonía visual y que Happy Quokka realmente transmitiera esa vibra de felicidad sencilla y auténtica que lo caracteriza.
I used layers for the shadows and also worked with different layers for lighting and then merged them together. I also included highlights on the eyes to accentuate the emotion of the character and soft textures on the cob to bring out its look even more. Finally, I polished small details with some extra glows, saturation adjustments and color balance. I checked that the set had visual harmony and that Happy Quokka really transmitted that vibe of simple and authentic happiness that characterizes him.
