Elemental Auroral ✨| Splinterlands Art Contest SPT W-348

Hola a toda la maravillosa comunidad de Alien Art Hive!. Después de un tiempo sin participar, hoy regreso con mucha emoción a este divertido concurso semanal de @Splinterlands. Siempre he sentido una conexión especial con esta comunidad y con la creatividad que se despliega aquí semana tras semana. En esta ocasión, he decidido hacer mi entrada con la representación de la carta Auroral Elemental, una criatura que es increíble y poderosa, también me sorprendió muchas otras cartas nuevas que son simplemente fantásticas. Trabajar en esta pieza ha sido desafiante pero me quise dedicar a ella en estos días, no solo por los detalles que quise incorporar para darle un acabado más vibrante, sino también porque aún me encuentro en proceso de adaptación con mi nueva herramienta de dibujo. Cada sesión de dibujo ha sido un aprendizaje, además recientemente realicé algunas instalaciones de cables a mi Smart TV para mejorar mi espacio de trabajo, lo que me ha permitido tener una vista más panorámica a la hora de dibujar, ha sido de gran ayuda para captar mejor los detalles y perfeccionar con un poco mas de comodidad mi flujo de trabajo. Todo este proceso ha hecho que la creación de esta obra sea aún más especial, y espero que les guste bastante esta representación estilo retrato.

Hello to all the wonderful Alien Art Hive community. After a while of not participating, today I am excitedly returning to this fun weekly contest from @Splinterlands. I have always felt a special connection to this community and the creativity that is displayed here week after week. This time, I decided to make my entry with the representation of the Auroral Elemental card, a creature that is amazing and powerful, I was also surprised by many other new cards that are just fantastic. Working on this piece has been challenging but I wanted to dedicate myself to it these days, not only because of the details I wanted to incorporate to give it a more vibrant finish, but also because I am still in the process of adapting with my new drawing tool. Each drawing session has been a learning experience, I also recently made some cable installations to my Smart TV to improve my workspace, which has allowed me to have a more panoramic view when drawing, it has been a great help to better capture the details and perfect with a little more comfort my workflow. This whole process has made the creation of this work even more special, and I hope you like this portrait style representation.

Etapas del Dibujo/Drawing Stages

Comencé con un boceto inicial fijándome en la posición de este ser, trazando la silueta y la estructura del personaje. En esta etapa, me enfoqué en definir la postura y los elementos que le caracterizan. Usé trazos sueltos y ligeros, explorando diferentes pinceles de lápiz, hasta encontrar una que realmente tuviera ese trazo rustico que me gusta mucho. Una vez estando lista con el boceto, procedí a definir mejor las líneas, y limpié los trazos iniciales y establecí los contornos principales del personaje. Aquí fue cuando comencé a notar cuánto me estaba ayudando mi Smart TV, ya que la vista más amplia me permitió detectar errores y hacer ajustes precisos.

I started with an initial sketch looking at the position of this being, tracing the silhouette and the structure of the character. At this stage, I focused on defining the posture and the elements that characterize him. I used loose and light strokes, exploring different pencil brushes, until I found one that really had that rustic stroke that I really like. Once I was ready with the sketch, I proceeded to better define the lines, and I cleaned up the initial strokes and established the main contours of the character. This is when I started to notice how much my Smart TV was helping me, as the wider view allowed me to spot mistakes and make precise adjustments.

Al llegar el momento de dar vida al personaje con color, empecé aplicando los tonos principales, pero mas oscuros porque no quería recargarla mucho con saturación. Elegí colores brillantes y tonos cálidos a medida que iba avanzando por encima de las capas tonos tierra y tonos fríos, para así asegurarme de que los tonos fueran dando la vitalidad al ser. El siguiente paso fue trabajar en la profundidad del personaje, y el tono de fondo me ayudo bastante realmente con los colores porque los visualice con mas vitalidad y con el programa y con el Smart tv, eso acompaño a que las sombras y luces tuvieran un poco mas protagonismo. Me enfoqué en los efectos de iluminación para que el Auroral Elemental pareciera irradiar energía desde su núcleo, también utilicé una combinación de pinceles con texturas para darle mas detalles.

When it was time to bring the character to life with color, I started by applying the main tones, but darker because I didn't want to overload it too much with saturation. I chose bright colors and warm tones as I went over the layers of earth tones and cool tones, to make sure that the tones were giving vitality to the being. The next step was to work on the depth of the character, and the background tone really helped me a lot with the colors because I visualized them with more vitality and with the program and the Smart tv, that helped the shadows and lights to have a little more prominence. I focused on the lighting effects to make the Auroral Elemental seem to radiate energy from its core, I also used a combination of brushes with textures to give it more details.

Añadir los detalles finales fue una de las partes más entretenidas del proceso. Aquí trabajé con métodos de mezcla y en los destellos de luz que envuelven al personaje, los pequeños destellos flotantes y los matices que hacen que la ilustración cobre aun mas vida. Ajusté la intensidad de los colores y añadí algunos efectos sutiles para resaltar la majestuosidad de esta criatura como en su carta base.

Adding the final details was one of the most fun parts of the process. Here I worked on blending methods and on the flashes of light that envelop the character, the little floating sparkles and shades that make the illustration come even more alive. I adjusted the intensity of the colors and added some subtle effects to bring out the majesty of this creature as in his base card.

Cada paso del proceso me ayudó a mejorar, no solo en la técnica sino en la forma de trabajar cada detalle. Adaptarme a una nueva herramienta de dibujo ha sido un desafío, pero también una aventura que me impulsa a seguir mejorando y explorando nuevas posibilidades. Each step of the process helped me to improve, not only in technique but also in the way of working every detail. Adapting to a new drawing tool has been a challenge, but also an adventure that drives me to keep improving and exploring new possibilities.
