Hola a todos comunidad Alien Art Hive!. Es un placer estar aquí una vez más, compartiendo este espacio con todos ustedes. Espero que se encuentren bien en este día y que estén disfrutando de su día. Siempre es emocionante formar parte de este rincón donde el arte se expanden sin límites. Hoy les traigo una nueva pieza que me ha inspirado profundamente, un paisaje titulado "Una Ventana al Océano". Desde el instante en que comencé a trabajar en esta ilustración, sentí que cada pincelada me llevaba más lejos, como si de verdad estuviera mirando a través de una pequeña apertura hacia las profundidades del mar. Mi intención con esta obra era capturar esa sensación de misterio, belleza y serenidad que transmite el océano profundo, y al mismo tiempo jugar con los efectos de luz, reflejos y movimiento para darle vida a la escena. Mientras trabajaba en este paisaje, me di cuenta de que estaba creando una conexión entre lo visible y lo imaginario, ya que la ventana no solo enmarca un espacio del océano, sino que también se convierte en un portal hacia lo desconocido, donde las criaturas marinas flotan con gracia en un entorno envolvente, en el que las luces y las sombras crean un ambiente etéreo. Este ejercicio fue una práctica despejante que me permite experimentar con nuevas técnicas texturización y efectos de iluminación, y quiero compartir con ustedes cada paso que me llevó a este resultado final.

Hello everyone Alien Art Hive community. It's a pleasure to be here once again, sharing this space with all of you. I hope you are well this day and that you are enjoying your day. It is always exciting to be part of this corner where art expands without limits. Today I bring you a new piece that has inspired me deeply, a landscape titled “A Window to the Ocean”. From the instant I started working on this illustration, I felt that each brushstroke took me further away, as if I was really looking through a small opening into the depths of the sea. My intention with this work was to capture that sense of mystery, beauty and serenity that the deep ocean conveys, and at the same time play with the effects of light, reflections and movement to bring the scene to life. As I worked on this landscape, I realized that I was creating a connection between the visible and the imaginary, as the window not only frames an ocean space, but also becomes a portal into the unknown, where sea creatures float gracefully in an enveloping environment, where light and shadow create an ethereal ambiance. This exercise was a relaxing practice that allows me to experiment with new texturing techniques and lighting effects, and I want to share with you each step that led me to this final result.

Quería que la ventana tuviera un marco sólido que diera la sensación de un límite. Dentro de la ventana, planteé la escena submarina recreando el agua con luz del sol. Opté por un encuadre en el que la profundidad fuera el elemento clave, asegurándome de que los elementos del fondo se vieran difuminados para lograr esa sensación de distancia y atmósfera submarina. En esta etapa, establecí los tonos principales del fondo oceánico, optando por una gama de azules que van desde tonos oscuros y profundos hasta celestes y turquesas vibrantes. Para el marco de la ventana, utilicé tonos fríos que contrastaran ligeramente con el brillo del interior.

I wanted the window to have a solid frame that would give the feeling of a boundary. Inside the window, I posed the underwater scene by recreating the water with sunlight. I opted for a framing where depth was the key element, making sure that the background elements were blurred to achieve that sense of distance and underwater atmosphere. At this stage, I established the main tones of the ocean floor, opting for a range of blues ranging from deep, dark tones to vibrant light blue and turquoise. For the window frame, I used cool tones to contrast slightly with the brightness of the interior.

La luz juega un papel fundamental en esta pieza, pues necesitaba crear una atmósfera inmersiva que simulara la iluminación submarina. Usé luz suave para generar las transiciones en los tonos del agua y en los reflejos, y añadí luz intensa en los puntos clave de iluminación, como los rayos de luz que atraviesan la superficie del agua y el brillo que rodea a las medusas. El contraste entre luces suaves y luces intensas ayudó a resaltar la profundidad del paisaje, haciendo que cada elemento se sintiera orgánico dentro del ambiente marino.

Light plays a fundamental role in this piece, as I needed to create an immersive atmosphere that simulates underwater lighting. I used soft light to generate the transitions in the water tones and reflections, and added intense light at key lighting points, such as the rays of light crossing the surface of the water and the glow surrounding the jellyfish. The contrast between soft and harsh lighting helped to bring out the depth of the landscape, making each element feel organic within the marine environment.

Para las medusas luminosas, quise darles un efecto brillante y mágico, por lo que utilicé técnicas de brillo y superposición para definir su apariencia translúcida. Ajusté los niveles de opacidad para que parecieran flotar en el agua con delicadeza. También apliqué superposición en algunas partes de la ventana para acentuar el efecto, logrando que la imagen tuviera más profundidad y realismo. Para los elementos del fondo, como las plantas marinas y las burbujas, empleé pinceles texturizados que permitieran crear formas orgánicas con cierto nivel de detalle. Esto me ayudó a generar un ambiente submarino con variaciones de textura que aportan dinamismo a la escena. En cambio, para el agua y las transiciones de luz, usé pinceles suaves, lo que me permitió difuminar bordes y crear una integración natural entre los diferentes tonos y efectos. La combinación de ambos tipos de pinceles dio como resultado un paisaje equilibrado, con detalles precisos pero sin perder la fluidez de la ilustración.

For the luminous jellyfish, I wanted to give them a shimmering, magical effect, so I used glow and overlay techniques to define their translucent appearance. I adjusted the opacity levels to make them appear to float delicately on the water. I also applied overlay on some parts of the window to accentuate the effect, giving the image more depth and realism. For the background elements, such as the sea plants and bubbles, I used textured brushes to create organic shapes with a certain level of detail. This helped me to generate an underwater environment with texture variations that bring dynamism to the scene. For the water and light transitions, on the other hand, I used soft brushes, which allowed me to blur edges and create a natural integration between the different tones and effects. The combination of both types of brushes resulted in a balanced landscape, with precise details but without losing the fluidity of the illustration.
