In the fable of life, im chillin with some bugs, in A Bugs Fable

Might be the most busted xbox controller youve ever seen in your life, but because im savage as i have to be, and because it still works mostly, ill keep using it. Its fallen a few times on the cord and has since been losing connection. Batteries are scarce in the house, and id rather save those few bucks so i dont mind plugging in. As you can see the cord is wrapped around the controller, and there is a rubber band to keep it in place. When squeezing it down, it does work but it has not gotten a little worse. Still, i must chill with my bug friends, and with the Hive family.

Somehow i have sunk many hours into this game, as its been quite the adventure. If anyone was a fan of the Paper Mario series, especially the original for Nintendo64, then you would recognize that this game is a tribute to it. The style of gameplay. The turn based RPG mechanics. The 2d art in a 3rd world animation. The look of the menus and the way attacks work. It is exactly how the original game used to play.

Paper Mario though, has since switched its recipe, because it strayed away from those mechanics over the course of the years. Fans of the original Paper Mario are delighted to have a game like Bug Fables, that brings us back to the good old days. Lets see how many hours of gameplay im in, at this point.

Well....125 hours. How time has passed in the past months. In terms of gaming, its been worth it. What a banger soundtrack. I think ill post 1 soundtrack from a favorite guitar guy on youtube end of post here, cuz its such a banger. Anyways lets to a recap of the kind of levels and worlds we see throughout this game.

1. ANT KINGDOM

Basically the 1st world, and start of the game where things begin. Missions start and we get to figure out how the story begins. There are 3 friends essentially, the 3 bugs. There is an issue in which a sapling must be saved, and the adventure is born from the moment.

2. SNAKEMOUTH DEN

Basically a cave within the forest. One of the first locations that is traveled to. There is a small boss inside. This location in snapshot shows a cool waterfall.

3. GOLDEN SETTLEMENT

Here, the atmosphere starts to change to a more yellow, orange vibe. Flowers in the field, leaves falling. This town here leads to a boss level and branches out to other worlds that will soon be discovered.

4. LOST SANDS

A classic from the original paper mario, the desert level. A cool vibe, nice soundtrack. Sand....and sand. Cool enemies in the background. Theres a hidden castle to find here.

5. FAR GRASSLANDS

Back into the grassy area, green fields and lakes of water. This leads to other worlds of course. There is a battle with the wasps in this game so you can see the entrance to a wasp castle in the distance.

6. FORSAKEN LANDS

Now descending into a cloudy, desolate area. Mystery and madness. Puzzling, trying to find the way out of the confusing paths. A big boss end of level of course.

7. TERMITE CITY

Close to the forsaken lands. A city of termites where there is a queen. Starts leading towards end of game. Theres a lot of missions to go back and forth. Fetch quests and whatnot. I have been pressing Y to get rid of the U.I menu to make a cleaner screenshot, shouldve done so on the first few.

8. RUBBER PRISON

Here im using the bubble shield since these platforms will electify you. Its headed towards the final stage and last bosses but theres so much to do in this game. Even though ive completed all the bosses there are still just a couple achievements left that i have to do.

For now though, im going to make like a bug.....and Flea.
