Splinterlands Land Update, Market Report and Weekly Resource Snapshot!

Good morning Splinterfriends!

untitled.gif

I hope you had a great week - I was working my ass off but overall, it turned out pretty productive!

I always hate the "super busy but unproductive" days/weeks lol...

A little over a week has passed since the last Land Update I did so I wanted to take today and see how things are going!

Last time, when we looked, we were at R143, Tract 02, Plot 40:

image.png

Lets see where we are today:

image.png

Ok it looks like we are at Plot 47 now, which means we are just shy of the 1 Land Per Day average I've been seeing...

With Conclave Arcana coming out soon... I can understand why that has slowed down a bit... for now... However, lets go see what has been uncovered and meet the folks who did it!

untitled.gif

As we travel down to Dryae Tor (R143), I can't help but look back at everything that has transpired since I started writing these Land Updates... I recently hit 200+ Followers and have updated and modified this so many times... Sets have come and gone... Chaos Legion is about to rotate out of Modern... What a wild and wonderful adventure so far!

Arriving at our destination, as is our custom, we stop back in at the previous spot where we left off...

Plot 39 is owned by @sebastienv and is a Common Natural Forest. It still doesn't have any PP in it...

untitled.gif

But that's ok! We know it will, when it is ready!

Setting out from there, we make our way into the Wilds, on our way to the first stop...

Plot 40 which is a Rare Natural Forest owned by @madgol but it has a "For Sale" sign up front...

It is the LOWEST PRICED Rare Land on the Market... so somebody needs to go snatch this bad boy up!!

Click the photo to be taken directly to it - so you can acquire this pristine beauty!

image.png

I don't even expect any Closing Costs when this sells, either... look at me go :P

Next up, Plot 41...

Plot 41 is another Rare Natural Forest... this one Claimed and Surveyed by @beffeater - good to see you again! No PP here either so we are moving on!

Plot 42 is a Common Natty Forest owned by @db0 - nice to meet you but since this is devoid of PP... we're moving on...

Plot 43... is really nice... Epic Natural Forest pulled by @devonhdd - fantastic discovery my friend!! However... no pp here either... My assistant finds this lack of PP disturbing...

Can't take them anywhere, I swear... you write these posts and try to be serious, with useful info... these darn... HUSSIES!!! Just everywhere man... sheesh.

Anyways... now that she's done pouting... we shall continue.

Plot 44 is another devonhdd Plot but this one is a Rare Magic [Earth] Forest!! Nice find buddy and congrats! Still no PP here either though...

Plot 45 is devonhdd back for more with a Common Natty Forest this time... which leads us to our final Plot for this Update...

Plot 46 is @mightylileng with a Rare Natty Forest to close us out!! Still no PP though... Le sad... no one is working this Tract much right now... but hopefully soon!

That's all the new discoveries this week... so lets head over to the Market to see how the prices have changed!!

Weekly Snapshot "Resource Tracker"

image.png

Market Summary & Analysis:

Resource prices continue their downward trend this morning as Praetorian Markets are trying to find a floor... who knows where the bottom is... at least Grain is relatively stable though!

Grain:

![untitled.gif](

Grain continued to approach the triple digit mark of 1 DEC = 100 Grain but it stopped shy at 1 DEC = 98.438 Grain... still WAY up from the ATL... but I think this may stabilize as a "Floor"... until the oversupply of Grain is eaten up... literally!

Wood:

Wood fell another 11% as we try to find a floor with the Land 1.75 Resources. Azircon commented last time stating, to paraphrase: without a real use, these resources will get stockpiled until Land 2.0 which will drive prices down... and it's looking like he was right!

PP Based Pricing Metrics are 4:1 Grain:Wood so if we measured prices with our PP's then Wood should be trading at roughly 4 x 10.159 DEC or 40.636 DEC per Kilo, so Wood seems to be quite undervalued at 20.07 DEC/Kilo!!

#WenBeaver

Stone:

untitled.gif

HOLY HELL - I turn my head for ONE MINUTE!!! Prices of stone are WAY DOWN!!! 82.514 DEC per Kilo!! WOW - what the hell?!?!

PP Based Metrics are 10:1 Grain:Stone so a PP based price would have Stone priced at 101.59 and like I said... the Stone Price corrected BIG TIME... now trading UNDER the PP Based Pricing Metrics at 82.514 DEC per Kilo!!

This is certain not financial advice as we are talking about the economies of a video game but hey, here's the data, I hope it helps 🤷‍♂

Iron:

Iron prices also dropped 12% today as we attempt to find a bottom here in the Praetorian ComEx. It is currently trading at a little over 251 DEC per Kilo

Keep in mind Iron is the hardest Resource to acquire, requiring a LOT of effort to extract it. Grain has a .02PP Requirement whereas Iron is .0005 or 40X harder to Mine! Will this transfer a premium to Iron? Who knows! We're just over a week in and this is EXCITING!!

PP Based Price Metrics put Iron at 40:1 Grain:Iron so that would mean if Grain:DEC is trading at 10.159 DEC Kilo if Grain, then Iron should be 406.36 DEC per Kilo or so but all bets are off at this point!

PP Based Pricing Metrics:

Hey look! They got their own section!! This is a simple breakout highlighting whether or not a Resource is trading Over/Under their PP Based Price. Perhaps it will act as a Market Indicator to let us know if a resource is Under/Overvalued at present????

Here's another handy dandy chart - I think aggroed and others are posting something super similar to this as well so I love having more than one person looking at this data!

image.png

At the end of the day, the Market will Market... but at least we have some people who are actively tracking an analyzing the data!

Until next time, back to YOU 😁

I hope this helps people visualize what the prices of these resources are doing post Land 1.75 Release!!

Let's give thanks and shoutouts to those making it happen!!

Shoutout to @cryptomancer for their work on Splinterlands, without you, we wouldn't have Land 1.75!!

Nice one going on the stats there!
I would just love to see the resources charts 'ingame' to see what the values are instead of you guys making all (super nice though!!!) excel charts on it haha. So just that the general user also has an idea. Like the charts in hive-engine you know..

But yeah, it really has shaken up stuff over the last weeks and I even decided to get a next plot for more grain income as it seems essential in the end. Also having the iron there and will just stack it until it comes clear more what to do with it. (and even if it all doesn't work out...the locked up dec is also getting valuable)
