Splinterlands Land Update and Market Report + Resource Snapshot!
Good afternoon Splinterfriends!
I hope you are doing well - I am enjoying a day off and you know what's crazy... even though there is SO MUCH new content to write about... I am struggling to find time to write about it!!
Anyways... I am knocking this out as quickly and efficiently as humanly possible...

Ok... let's go fam - I have a lot to do on my "day off"... womp womp... #adulting
Last time, we were up to Plot 09 in Tract 03 of Region 143 Dryae Tor...
This time, we are all the way up to Plot 24!!
That means we are approaching almost TWO per day for Plots Claimed/Surveyed!! Which is AWESOME!!
We don't have time to waste - let's hit the road and head off to Praetoria to see what's been uncovered!! Will there be a Legendary Plot??? A Castle?!?! Who knows!!!
As we spring into action and sprint down to Dryae Tor our minds are filled with possibilities!! Rounding the bend, we head into our usual pit stop, the previous final Plot...
Plot 008 is still owned by @solymi and still nothing going on there... so lets make our way into the newly discovered lands!!
Plot 009 is a Common Natural Bog that was Claimed and Surveyed by @knightav - nice work there!! Grain Lands are going to keep getting more and more expensive 😃 They're not building anything here at the moment so we shall move on!
Plot 10 is also knightav and this one is a bit tingly!!! That's right, this Plot is a Common Magic Death Swamp and it also is inactive so we are moving right along!
Plot 11 is more knightav property and this one is a Common Natty Swamp... I think I hear the Budweiser Frogs in the distance but that's about it... moving on!
Plot 12 is knightav picking up another Common Natty Bog and adding more sweet, sweet Grain Land!!
Plot 13 is back into the woods lol... knight av must have cracked quite a few plots here... because they picked up a Common Natty Forest with this Plot!
Still... they have this new land and are not doing anything with it... maybe they found something good they're prioritizing!
Plot 14 is more knightav and this one is another tingly one... the air is electric!! This one is a Common Magic Earth Forest and there's nothing happening here yet... next!
Apologies... my assistant seems to be tuckered out keeping up with my adrenaline fueled scurry... oh well... they'll be fine!! BYEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!
Plot 15 is another Common Natty Bog picked up by knightav and it's undeveloped too...
Plot 16 is a fancy Swamp... like... it's a Swamp... but... clean?? Oh I see!! knightav picked up a Rare Natural Swamp - nice work!
Plot 17 is... oh... all my hair just stood on end!!! Woah!! That's an Epic Magic Water Swamp!!!!! Holy cow!! Nice work knightav!! Still no production on this guy so they must have some serious stuff working!!
Plot 18 is back to the slums with a Common Natty Swamp - knightav must have popped a BUNCH of Plots!
Plot 19 is another fancy schmancy Swamp... but oh hey... the property marker says @zsumia - nice find buddy. This is a Rare Natty Swamp and is currently building a Logging Camp!
Plot 20 is Common Natty Swamp that's also owned by zsumia and it's up for sale for $20 - that's a little steep but will probably sell in the near future!

Plot 21 is @devonhdd with a nice snag!! They bagged a Rare Magic Water Bog and they're building a Grain Farm on it :) Oh Grain, how I love theeeeeee!
Plot 22 is DEVON!!! You dog!!! Back to back?!? SHEESH how are you so lucky!!
Plot 22 is a Rare Occupied Plot bagged by devonhdd - we'll leave the whore's alon... Monstrosities alone for now... yikes.
Plot 23 is our final Plot today and drum roll pleaaaaaaaaase....
Ahh - this is the one lol - @cherokee4life wrote me about this one haha! Sorry you got the Common Natty Swamp after devon swooped in and snatched the good plots!! That's my luck too :(
Here's to our luck changing in the future and with Conflicts, it's anyones guess as to what will happen!!

During the week, Grain fell all the way down to 128 Grain/DEC... but with the massive Grain shortfalls, I expect this to turn around... at some point... it has rebounded slightly... back up to 122 Grain per DEC... I hope to see it back < 100 Grain/DEC but who knows how long that will be!
My personal focus is still on Grain Production... with a small amount of additional raw material production... but who knows if that strategy will pay off!!
Wood fell as well as Resource Markets slipped against DEC. Currently you can get 32.58 Wood per DEC but it still seems to be sticking close to the PP Based Metrics...
PP Based Pricing Metrics are 4:1 Grain:Wood so if we measured prices with our PP's then Wood should be trading at roughly 4 x 8.18 DEC or 32.72 DEC per Kilo, so Wood is now trading just under PP Metrics for 30.644 DEC/Kilo!
The Price of Stone took a small backstep against DEC on the broader market pullback. Today we see Stone trading at 6.94 Stone per DEC which is still really high vs the PP Metric... be cautious of a large drop in price over the next couple of weeks...
PP Based Metrics are 10:1 Grain:Stone so a PP based price would have Stone priced at 8.18 so Stone at 143.835 DEC per Kilo means we appear to be in "overbought" territory by almost 2x... but these are technically "emerging markets"... annnnnd this is all just guess work anyways lol
This is certainly not financial advice as I am literally tracking the economies of a VIDEO GAME but hey, here's the data, I hope it helps 🤷♂ (At least we're not Eve Online aka Spreadsheets Galore)
Iron prices, like all markets, slipped a little this week... Just kidding... they slipped A LOTTLE!!!
Iron prices fell over 22% this week and typically it has the smallest swing %'s... I'm not sure what is the cause of suppressed swing percentages... but probably due to having less Iron than others due to difficulty mining it... However... this week was a DOOZY and the price of Iron fell to 3.422 Iron per DEC!
Does this continue next week?? Does it fall 20%??? WHO KNOWS!!!! But WHEEEEEEE!
5/21/25 Edit: THE ABOVE LINE WAS WRITTEN on 5/13/25 and the Market Price of Iron DID IN FACT fall 20%!!! LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 😭
Keep in mind Iron is the hardest Resource to acquire, requiring a LOT of effort to extract it. Grain has a .02PP Requirement whereas Iron is .0005 or 40X harder to Mine! Will this transfer a premium to Iron? Who knows! But I'll be keeping my eyes on it!!
PP Based Price Metrics put Iron at 40:1 Grain:Iron so that would mean if Grain:DEC is trading at 8.18 DEC per Kilo of Grain, then Iron should be 327.2 DEC per Kilo or so but it has dipped to below PP Price and is currently just shy of 292 DEC per Kilo so that seems like it fell right past PP Metrics and into slightly oversold territory...

Hey look! They got their own section!! This is a simple breakout highlighting whether or not a Resource is trading Over/Under their PP Based Price. Perhaps it will act as a Market Indicator to let us know if a resource is Under/Overvalued at present????
Here's another handy dandy chart - I think aggroed and others are posting something super similar to this as well so I love having more than one person looking at this data!
