Exciting SplinterLANDs Content - a sneak peek into the Land Baron updates!

Good morning Splinterfriends and Hivers!! Maybe an especially good morning to my fellow Land Barons...

For my fellow Land Barons, if you were paying attention in the wee hours of the American morning... @Cryptomancer, the SplinterDev who is in charge of creating and developing the Land portion of Splinterlands dropped a pretty sweet lil update in the Land Barons Discord Channel!!

Now... there's a lot to unpack here, just from this post and we get them weekly!!!

First, let me start by saying the Land Baron Discord Channel is not some super secret club or anything... it's just a channel reserved for those who have 50 Plots or more, ON ONE ACCOUNT...

The second part is important because for awhile, I had the Plots... but they were spread out and I am Le Dumb sometimes...

If you want to join me and the rest of the cool kids... who are way cooler than I am... just stack up some plots - @jacekw has a bunch for sale at $12.49 if you want to be a Wood Baron!!!

Ok... now that we have that out of the way... lets break down what 'Mancer dropped on us today...

Intro: Land "blank" "blank" project.

HOLY COW!!! THERE'S SOMETHING IN THE WORKS THAT ISN'T NAMED YET AND IT'S BEING TEASED!!!

This info came out last week but I wasn't really that excited about it... however... as we develop more land and get more details... I am getting more and more excited about this part of Splinterlands!!

There's lots of guesses as to what this will be but my two for now are:

Land project and Land project... there are a number of other guesses... what's yours? Tell me in the comments!!!

The LB's are pretty excited about it but lets move on...

1. Modified the Prefix Title to be based on lifetime Research [earned], vs current Research Balance

Ok this is a minor tweak and doesn't apply to me because I'll never have enough Research to ever come close... but it makes sense - it shouldn't be calculated based on "Current" Research Balance... once Research is spendable, why should someone lose their title for most Research EARNED... because they spent some of their Balance...

(PS - this means we are close to a use-case for Research!!)

2. Internal Calculation Refactoring about the above...

This relates to the previous note about Prefix Titles and Research... next.

3. Extended Generic Shop Blockchain ops for Land Use for... CRAFTING...

Lots of info here but it breaks down into... 'Mancer worked on the coding to take the existing Blockchain operations for the Shop... and expand them to use Land Resources for "stuff"...

"Stuff" may include:

Refined Resources
Building Mats
Salt Elimination Resources
Enchanted Food
!PIZZA
!WINGS
!BEER
Potions
Spells
And more!!

(Probably not the Pizza, Wings and Beer though... Sadly 😞)

Basically - utilizing and modifying pre-existing Code to function for this (time saver and great work efficiency!)

If this isn't your RED FLAG, RED ALERT, RED... RUM?? No! Not that last one!! Resources, especially the VERY LIMITED Land 1.75 Resources... are about to have a USE... to Craft [Item(s)]... that you can USE/SELL/TRADE...

I hope you're stacking your shit right now... because I bet prices are gonna go BANANAS... Like @sharkmonsters or Gwen Stefani...

5 + 6. New Land Resource "A" and Building to produce "A"...

Since we have the Farm... Just added the Quarry, Logging Camp and Mine... my guess is that the Magic Resource Production Building (Name Improvement?) or Outpost will be next!!

My personal bet is that the Outpost is next but it could be the MRPB... (Can we call this the "Wizard Conclave" or "Sorcerers Den" or... "Witches Lounge XXX"... maybe not that last one... But all my Grain Farmers need some R & R!!!

Yeaaaaaaah... something like that lol... the internet is a terrible place... 😨

Outro. "In the coming week, I'll be working on completing the New WORKSITE and supporting changes because...

"the new worksite will intro a new mechanic that hasn't been seen in the Land ecosystem before"
