In MoonKarts™, Power-Ups elevate the kart racing experience from pure speed to tactical warfare on four wheels. These aren’t just flashy bonuses—they’re tools that can turn timing, positioning, and anticipation into the difference between winning and being left behind.

What Power-Ups Are

Power-Ups are special cards players collect via packs, then slot into their racing kits. Once equipped, they grant in-race abilities that affect one’s own kart or interfere with opponents. Because you can choose which power-ups to carry, building your load-out becomes part of the strategy.

Available Power-Ups & Their Uses

At launch, MoonKarts™ features six distinct power-ups. Each offers a unique chance to shape the flow of the race:

• Lunar Glide: Leaves a slick oil trail behind your kart. Opponents who hit it will spin or lose control. Best deployed in corners or tight sections.

• Celestial Thrust: Gives a burst of speed when you need to catch up or surge past rivals. Ideal on straights or when rejoining the pack.

• Moonfire Missile: A projectile that locks onto another racer. Hit and disable them temporarily. Accuracy and timing matter.

• Cosmic Disruptor: Sends out an EMP-like shockwave around your kart, disabling or slowing nearby opponents. Best used in densely populated segments or before overtaking.

• Lunar Bolt: Calls down a lightning strike on a specific opponent. Causes disruption and loss of control. Tactically strong when targeting a leader or someone about to overtake.

• Lunar Barrier: Grants brief invincibility or immunity to attacks and collisions. This defensive power-up shines when anticipating aggressive moves from others. Use it to protect your lead or survive through chaos.

What makes these Power-Ups more than just gimmicks is their strategic depth. You must decide when to deploy them—early, mid-race, or clutch moments—as well as which ones to bring.
