It's Time To Disintegrate : Share Your Battle Weekly Challenge!
The Card Itself
The Disintegrator is a common card of the latest Chaos Legion series.
It is included in the Summoner’s Spellbook when you join the game so everyone has access to the card as a starter card.
That's awesome because it is very useful in every league.
Also, being a card from the Neutral Splinter, it can be used with any splinter in the game.
Ability
So you may ask, what's so special about it?
It comes with the ability to Demoralize, decreasing enemy melee damages by 1 point.
Stats
This is useful in many situations by itself.
But on top of that, Disintegrator also comes with decent stats!
Having 2 melee damage and 5 health at level 1 is plenty.
Though it has a very low speed, that makes it strong in the Reverse Speed ruleset.
Overview
You would expect most to pair the Disintegrator up with summoners like Tarsa or Zintar.
But personally, I think that this is a monster that works in many ways. It is very versatile and should be added to everyone’s arsenal.
For example, I paired the Disintegrator with Obsidian in my battle for the week.
The Battle
Lineup
Let's take a deeper look into my lineup.
Primary Tank:
Grund
Grund is one of my favorite tanks in the game.
It has thick health, decent speed and packs a big punch. In the Silver league that I am in, I find the best results from him when comboed with a Mycelic Slipspawn to divert firepower away.
Secondary Tanks:
Disintegrator
My rationale for inserting him in this lineup is simple.
Since the Silenced Summoners ruleset negates all buffs from summoners, I know that my Grund is more vulnerable to melee damage compared to magic damage.
Hence, my strategy was to pair the Disintegrator with 2 healers and a taunt, giving my Grund free roam of the battleground.
Mycelic Slipspawn
Taunt draws firepower away from Grund.
Also provides 2 magic damage which is a lot most of the time.
Centauri Mage
An amazing secondary tank and her skill, Return Fire was effective against the enemy’s Goblin Tower.
Support:
Goblin Psychic and Wood Nymph
Double heal allows Grund to outlast the enemy tank.
If Grund falls, the duo will be able to support Disintegrator as well.
I sometimes pair the Mycelic Slipspawn with a Spirit Hoarder to heal it up but Legendary monsters were banned due to the ruleset.
Did my strategy work?
My strategy worked and Grund survived until the very end.
Disintegrator was exactly what I needed in this match, the melee debuff allowed Grund to survive longer than it would have even with the taunt and double heal.
What will you try differently next time?
In a match with a lower mana cap, I will try placing Disintegrator in the primary tank position instead.
Do you like the Disintegrator?
Yes, in fact, I love it so much I am collecting the gold foiled version of it.
Although it is not exactly underrated since it is popularly used, I believe that the current prices don’t truly reflect the value of this card yet.
Conclusion
That's it for the week, until next time!
