Rising Star: new players advice to beginners

avatar

Hello there, I started to play Rising Star not long ago (lvl 28 at he moment), and in this post I share my thoughts on things to consider when you start your music career.

First of all, the game can be played as f2p, but as many things on HIVE, you should think about spending some money to earn money. I recommend buying 12 pack to get the extra promo card. Depending on market conditions, you can buy them with HIVE or buy 100k STARBITS on hive-engine and make the purchase with that. Usually STARBITS is cheaper.
If you have a little luck you get enough stats to reach higher ranking jobs which pay more.
I purchase 12 packs two times and I was extremely lucky:

You can start doing missions immediately. You need to complete a certain amount of each mission to go to the next. Each mission requires a certain amount of fans, time, and energy. Most of the time, the min. lvl requirement is the biggest barrier to do the next tier of missions. Therefore you should optimize the xp/energy ratio.
The best mission to get more xp for your energy is Music lessons. They give you Skill points, which are needed anyway, because doing missions, you get Ego points, which decrease your earnings after a certain lvl. You always need more Skill than your Ego + Fans.

Of course you should not forget to make some STARBITS on the way. If you don't get it, than you must purchase an i6 Midrange Acoustic to do missions in the Local Gig Circuit after you are finished in Home Town.

An other worthy purchase with STARBITS is a Pizza Box.

After you finish a mission, sometimes you find a Pizza, which replenishes your Energy to 100%. If you have a Pizza Box, you can store the Pizza to be used later, so you can optimize your energy consumption.

This is all I have for now. I hope some people find this useful.
