# My Seventh Season - Splinter Stats Season 67 Report Card

This was my seventh full season playing Splinterlands, and it was a fairly good one! I made great progress in in my ranked matches and had a couple of decent tournament placements. Despite the lack of big hits in rewards chests, I consider this past season a great success - I was able to spend more time in a higher Silver league and collect more rewards from ranked play than ever before.

I was able to make the jump from Bronze to the Silver leagues almost immediately, at the start of the second day of the season. I also set a new personal record for rating, and had a win rate of over 55%! Renting out cards to help you win and not just for CP is definitely something that helps a lot - I did it for the first time in the previous (my sixth) season and it worked just as well this past season.
In an improvement over past seasons, I spent most of the season renting up to Silver I which was great - more DEC from wins, and more rewards chests!

I was able to place in the "money" in three tournaments, which was amazing. All three of the tournaments were organized by Clove - they only had 1 DEC entry fees and are great for beginners looking to give tournaments a try. I was entering mostly just for entertainment purposes, and being able to actually win something from playing in them was a welcome surprise!

I did get a common GF which is nice, but didn't open up anything else of note. I'm still waiting to find that elusive high DEC or pack chest...hopefully next season!

Rental expenses are still a big OOF, but now I'm starting to rent out a few of my own cards to try and offset the cost. My total expenses did increase on account of playing in a higher league for longer, but DEC income also went up to compensate for it. I made ~400 DEC net profit for the season, which I'm happy with.

My CP, DEC, and SPT (hooray blogging!) counts all rose slightly this past season, so my SPS airdrops went up too. I'm approaching nearly 3/day, which may not sound like a lot to some of the more established players, but is a big deal for myself - need more SPS and vouchers for Riftwatchers!
Overall this was a successful season - while I have yet to hit it big in a rewards chest or (very rare) pack opening, I am seeing decent returns just by playing my games and grinding it out. I'm aiming to do more of the same next season - just keep playing, collecting more cards, and doing the best I can!
