Let's Learn about Card Combining - Stake House Den

One of the keys towards maximizing our Stake House Den's experience is enabling combine cards of your deck. There's a lot of reasons behind card combination that should be a must in your system strategy. Stake House Den’s card combining feature—introduced in the Lady Luck Packs whitepaper—lets players merge duplicate NFTs to level up cards, reducing staking cost and boosting daily Hot Sauce generation. This mechanic mirrors Splinterlands’ BCX combining but is optimized for Stake House Den’s gameplay economy.
One reason, each card stake needs 2 SCRIPT tokens. This is very costly if you have a card that has multiple bcx. By combining multiple duplicates into a higher-level card, you decrease the number of staking slots needed—and amplify your Hot Sauce output.

How does card combining works in stakehouse den? These are important info:
- When you merge cards, their Merge Count (total NFTs used) increases.
- Your daily Hot Sauce yield is calculated as:
Hot Sauce = Merge Count × Generation Factor, where the Generation Factor depends on card rarity, foil status (Regular vs Gold), and level. - Gold Foil cards generate even more Hot Sauce per merge than regular foil at the same level.
Why Card Combination is a must for you?
- Hot Sauce Efficiency – Higher Merge Count yields more sauce with fewer script tokens.
- Script Savings – Just one card slot (2 SCRIPT) yields more sauce than multiple level‑1 cards
- Better ROI – Combining legendary or higher rarity cards multiplies efficiency even more
That's why you should consider combining your cards. If you have questions, let me know!
