My 2023 GameFi Report - January

Inspired by the My Leo Goals 2023 initiative, I decided to do the same to my blockchain games assets. In these monthly posts, I will be monitoring my progress and perhaps changing strategies if needed to achieve my goals by the end of this year.

WOO

I have been closely following the development of the upcoming game Wrestling Organization Online. Currently, my ways of earning their in-game token WOO are staking and delegating.

There is a lot going on with WOO this year. I would imagine the upcoming Land sale will increase demand for WOO token as it is supposed to be the currency to make purchases on the market. My goal for the year is pretty modest since I think I'll be investing in WOO packs too and keeping an eye out for the Land sale.

dCITY

Even though I haven't been really active on playing dCity recently, I have been accumulating SIM tokens every once in a while.

By holding 21,431 SIM I'm passively earning 0.006 HIVE daily. It's not much but I'm planning on increasing my SIM stack in the future. Right now I'm waiting for the price to drop a little and add 10k of SIM soon. Meanwhile, my stack is slowly growing by getting 2 SIM from the game daily and also little drips by holding INDEX.

Genesis League Goals

For once I feel like I'm not that late for aping into an upcoming blockchain game. With Genesis League Goals I have been staking GLX tokens and GMLSPA packs for a while now.

The current APR for staking GLX is 335% which is earning me 11.6 GLX daily. I'm also stacking up by making small buys on the market now and then. The price has been moving pretty steadily for about 2 weeks now being at 0.1051 HIVE on December 20th while it's currently up 5.64% at 0.163 HIVE.

I'm trusting there should be an increased demand for GLX as the game moves forward. I'm also expecting high volatility during that journey and being prepared for that by making small sales and keeping a stack of SWAP.HIVE reserved for buying the GLX dip.

Splinterlands

Currently, I'm in the middle of planning a new strategy for my Splinterlands play. Because of some unfortunate real-life circumstances, I had to sell most of my cards during the past summer. Still, it's the best blockchain game out there and I've been slowly but steadily building my deck again.

When it comes to the financial side of the game I'm pretty much rekt at the moment. The little DEC I still have is used to rent in cards to help me rise to higher leagues. I also have a little under €5 worth of SPS that I'm currently unstaking and moving to GLX staking.

For the future, I won't set up any goals this time but instead, I use this month to re-think my approach. This could perhaps include:

• Investing in cards with a good rental value - rent out
• Investing in Land
• Re-investing in SPS from GLX staking profits

RISING STAR

I just reached 100k STARBITS by playing the Rising Star game. It usually takes me a couple of weeks to get that amount and by selling that I would get 3.52 HIVE at the current market price. Instead of doing that, I'll reinvest that back into the game by buying 12 packs which costs exactly 100k.

So after the pack opening session, my stats look like this:

I got one epic card bringing me 600 hundred fans but also rare ones with a lot of skill. As the fanbase has grown and there's more room for drunks I think next time this move will help me to reach the 100k goal sooner.

Rollercoin

Just like with Rising Star my focus with Rollercoin is to increase my power to be able to earn much more in the future. I just recently bought the Season Pass which will earn me more powerful miners during the next couple of months. In the next 12 months, I will be using all my earnings from RC to buy miners or season passes. My current mining power is 3.2 Ph/s and my goal is to have 100 Ph/s by December 2023.

Conclusion

I'm hoping this kind of monthly monitoring of my blockchain game assets will help me to stay focused and stay on the right path. Next time I'll be adding monthly goals, just have to use this month to find out what would be realistic and what not.
