Kitty's Dragon Battle

Since I gave up renting for CP my Dragon deck has been looking pretty thin. Yes I have Chaos Dragon and Zyvax Vuul back there, good cards both. However, the main reason I keep playing with Dragon splinter is this cute little summoner.

Now let's take a look at how she did in this battle.

Opponent's Team

I was pretty sure my opponent was going to choose Kelya Frendul and some melee monsters and yes, there was some tough ones too:

  • Chain Golem with Shield in front
  • Flying Squid with Reach as second
  • Sand Worm to target my last monster
  • Demented Shark to inspire and give all melee monsters +1 attack
  • Deep Lurker to target my weakest link
  • The annoying Cornealus at the back

Dragon_start.jpgRound 1. This was the starting point with all the summoner and monster buffs. You can see that the opponents Chain Golem was in real risk because my magic monster had the speed advantage all thanks to our furry friend.

My Team

  • Djinn Chwala in front giving some extra pain with thorns
  • Chaos Dragon shoots where ever
  • Djinn Oshannus
  • River Hellondale
  • Zyvax Vuul charging in the back

I chose Djinn Chwala and Chaos Dragon because they both have good armor and plenty of health. I had this idea that with strong armor and Kitty's healing ability they could survive for a while and after that River Hellondale could resurrect Djinn Chwala with full armor. Now this scheme might then give Kitty some time to heal Chwala again!

At the beginning of Round 2 Chain Golem was no more. Also Djinn Chwala had lost the armor and Zyvax Vuul almost all of his health.

Next I would take down Flying Squid to move Sand Worm in front and that way perhaps save Zyvax Vuul. Here is the full battle by the way:

In Round 3 Chwala had some interesting moments as we suspected. She died, was resurrected by River and healed by Kitty.
That means those two golden monsters are toast and Cornealus can move to the front line where it can try to self-heal as much as it likes.

And that was it. I very pleased that my strategy worked as planned. One thing I could have done differently would have been using Desert Dragon in front cos of the trample ability and trample ruleset. Maybe next time.

With this poem copy/pasted from Kitty's Splinterlands Lore, I say thank you for reading!

Be not distracted by cuteness and fluff,
Byzantine Kitty is cuddly but tough,
If you dare to think kitty is merely a pet,
You haven’t faced kitty in battle just yet.
