Bossingclint Brawl Report 6 Apr

Introduction
Hey all, I hope all of you are doing great for the weekend. Time will not wait as we need to ramp up our knowledge and also DEC in order for us to be still competitive. I am back again to do a brawl report from the latest brawl that concluded about a days ago and glad that I am able to gather my thoughts and pen down the outcome of this brawl for my future learning from mistakes I made etc before the next brawl starts. This report serves as a documentation of my past battles to allow me to learn better and find out the gaps in my collection that needs additional boost. Playing in a much stronger tier brawl was never going to a walk in the park, hence there will be loads to learn and to be ready.

Let's get right on into the various matches.

Brawl Matches

Recently I have been cycling between both wild and modern fray. Haven't found what truly works for me so I will continue tinkering and see how each one works out. So let's dive in to the matches I had and do some reflections on how I can do better for next brawl.

Match 1:

Comment: Going the distance that we cannot use range attackers, I thought I already had what it takes to do well. But I was totally wrong, my opponent had every tool that is able to shut me down and I had to succumb to the brutal onslaught of his cards.

Comment: Dang, I didn't even knew there was such a 2 mana summoner available. And not only that, I am banned from using Quora. So in this matchup, I totally had no chance against my opponent whom was able to use Quora and just pulverize my lineup.

Comment: Finally a match that I think I stand a better chance since this time round I can use Quora. A setup which included enough firepower and also healing to sustain. The big sister in brawl takes control and brought me my first win for this brawl.

Match 4:

Comment: When able to, I will like to use Quora and Katrelba together. These are cards that really hit hard and when they grow, they are not easy to control. Opponent also had an array of strong double strikers and also very strong opportunity with armour recovery. While I thought I had the firepower to push through, the low health in my cards actually caused them to fall early to the hands of big opportunity cards that my opponent possess. A loss for this match.

Remarks: It is always a pain to find out that you are unable to field a proper lineup because either your ace card is banned or you will be facing something that is hard to defend against. Facing a monstrous Quora, my cards with tiny health is not match for her and quickly fell one by one. Tough luck, hope for better matchup next time.

Remarks: This is gonna be a tough fight for me to even win. With Jacek, armour becomes kinda not useful. I stood totally no chance agains an array of big hitters. Need to analyze all the cards that I do not have especially for Rebellion to be ready for the meta shift.

Remarks: While I thought I can use Captain Katie to overthrow what my opponent had, it was a little too late as the armour reduction exposes her and ended up I had to succumb to the attacks and let them take out all of my cards. A lack of collection exposed my weakness again.

Brawl Results

I am assigned only 8 matches for this brawl of which I win only 2 out of the 8 matches with 1 additional free win from missing frays from other guild not filling up and 1 fled opponent. Horrible performance from me as I totally got thrashed in this brawl with no chance at all to do well.

With just 3 of us, we came in last in this brawl, yet we have a win rate higher than some of the others above us. So hopefully more people will join us so that we can do even better in terms of placement. I will want to grow stronger as well with the cards I have.

Closing
Many bitter lessons that showed my lack of collection. I will start to work on getting more cards and will follow up with a post on identifying what are the gaps in my collection to become better in brawls.
