Journey back to the mountain.
Today, I'm going to show some special moments from my God of War play in this post where I'll talk about our journey back to the mountain.
With the black rune getting destroyed after glowing hands of Atreus, a giant was born there right away which is named Grendel of the Ashes and it started attacking us.
Look how they looked when they were alive.
A moment after, there came another one of the same size but this is Grendel of the Frost. So we were fighting a flame giant and a frost giant at the same time now. Can you guess how it'd be easy for me to destroy them? If I use the Leviathan Axe for the flame giant and Blades of Chaos for the frost giant then it'd be easy for me to kill them.
Now look how they looked when they were dead. They got me and killed me for the first time when I was close to kill them and then I killed the flame giant first and then the frost giant.
After killing them, we had to exit Tyre's vault as we finished our job for what we were there although I don't know what the black rune did to Atreus and what we really accomplished there other than fighting a lot of monsters and solving some puzzles.
Using the sand bowl, they were going up, exiting the vault. And suddenly Kratos put out the wine bottle that he found in the vault which I didn't notice he took with him and he said its Lemnian wine, from the island of Lemnos, near the place of his birth and handed it over to Atreus.
Atreus was returning the wine to his father but Kratos asked him to have some to their journey's end and both of them were drinking it when they were going above to exit the vault.
Atreus was asking Kratos why he left home and came there and was asking a lot of things but Kratos was not replying.
The BGM and the way they were behaving, I couldn't help but think that maybe it was the end of this gam.
But no, we just returned on the surface of Tyre's Bridge and the Black Rune chapter was completed. Now we had to return to the summit through the tower and after journey back to the mountain.
After going through the tower, we came out to the place where once we walked and found Sindri and his workshop.
Atreus wished to tell Sindri his secret but Kratos forbade him and then the kid was poking Sindri that he always tells bad things about Brok and that's all he says. And the kid then said they're sick of hearing about little peoples little problems which did hurt Sindri a little as he was a dwarf and tiny in size and this proved Atreus was being arrogant knowing his secret.
After upgrading some gears, we were leaving for the mountain and found these new monsters and we fought them there.
We discovered another hidden chamber of Odin there and found this Valkyrie as well whose name was Geirdriful and I couldn't take her down as well.
Without wasting times, I left the hidden chamber after trying to kill the Valkyrie only once.
Our journey towards he mountain became harder as there were a lot monsters waiting for us in the whole road ahead and the weather was also not good this time.
After going inside the mountain, we found Modi there who was injured and dying and was saying that Thor blamed him for what we did to Magni and it looked like his own father punished him hard.
Atreus looked towards his father to get permission to kill Modi but Kratos forbade him to do it as Modi was beaten and not worth killing. Even after saying no to the kids multiple times, he said Modi should pay for what he said about Atreus's mother and added that they can do anything they want and stabbed in the neck of Modi and killed him.
The boy lost control and became too arrogant and kicked Modi right in front of his father when Kratos was forbidding him. Hearing the tone of the boy, Kratos was understanding that it was a mistake letting him know his true nature as he was becoming too arrogant everyday.
We'll check what happens next in another post.
I'll try to talk about more special moments soon from my play in God of War or maybe from other games.

End of the post.
Peace.
Its sad how the kid is becoming arrogant and ignoring his father's orders. I hope he'll not choose the dark path in your journey ahead.

Yeah, as he grows and gains confidence in his abilities, he may sometimes challenge his father's authority and make decisions on his own which doesn't seems good.
🤗

Thanks a lot for it.
You're welcome! 😎
It's good to see they have a good time drinking Lemnian wine together. His arrogant might be a trait that Atreus got from Kratos himself. Good story, thanks for sharing..
Yeah, that's a good moment although no father should share alcohol with his son who is not an adult.
Yeah I know what do you mean and in real world I totally agree with what you said. But that both characters in the game were killing godlike characters, I'm sure Kratos, who has lived for decades, knows what he was doing, for just mere wine.. I think that Arteus who posses golike strength can take it..
I totally understand your point. By the way, Atreus has become more arrogant now and he's a hostage in a very bad hand. I just published a post right away talking about that. You may be interested reading it so I'm letting you know about that.
Nice! I'll read it after I've done my post. Thank you.
