Welcome to episode 189 of my weekly Splinterlands 101 video podcast, with fellow @hiveaustralia members, and co-hosts of the show, @mattclarke and @giotrix

Matt kicks off the show discussing a recent late night get together with the treasury team to "get some stuff done" and gives a shoutout to @clayboyn for his hard work and dedication to the cause.

Matt discusses the latest Town Hall and in particular Splinterlands' standing in the web3 gaming space with the new Crypto Gaming Recovery Fund, whereby Splinterlands is accepting refugees from other war torn web3 gaming platforms like Tokyo Beast and The Walking Dead: Empires.

Matt also gives us a heads up on an upcoming opportunity for which you may need a nice stack of liquid SPS for.

and on the subject of dropping Alpha, Matt announces that on the next episode he will play his 50,000th manual battle, and he will be celebrating it with a massive community rewarding promotion, as he retires on battling, to focus on his land.

and next weeks episode will also be my 60th birthday celebration show too.

Then it's off to the Glint Store where I spend 400k of hard earned Glint, followed by Matt splashing out on 300k+ Glint, with a nice pull from Ultimate Chests 🤠

Then it's onto the Battle Section of the show, continuing on with our Ruleset Challenge theme, utilizing the customable challenge feature of the game, and going through the rulesets alphabetically, one episode at a time. This week being the Four's a Crowd Ruleset

So if you want to see some strategies based around picking your teams, defensively, or aggressively for this ruleset, then you're in the right place, because we share our reasons for team selection, as one of us shares our screen while picking our team. Then once the teams are submitted, we discuss our thoughts on the line-ups and make our predictions on how we think the battle will play out. Then of course the excitement of the real-time commentary as the battles actually play out 😎
