For today's Share your Battle Challenge, I give you MAGNOR! ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ช
(Instead of writing about the Dragon splinter, I've decided to write about Magnor instead. I've had a battle which showcases his ridiculous killing and taunt ability and it would be a waste not to share this instead. ๐ฑ)
Magnor is a remainder of the Titans and Giants that used to thrive in the Splinterlands, before nearly all of them destroyed themselves through war. He resembles a Human, but stands about fifteen feet tall with far greater strength and more durable flesh. Several hundred years ago, Magnor retreated from the public eye to tend the rivers and dams of lava that are always flowing beneath Molten Mountains. Without Magnor's constant and diligent maintenance of the lava, many of the great Ferexia cave cities would have collapsed long ago.

Magnor is a Legendary card released during the Untamed expansion. I'd daresay it's the mainstay of MANY Fire decks. At level 1, it has 4 MELEE ATTACK and 3 SPEED, with 0 ARMOR and 13 HEALTH. He also has the TAUNT ability.
These stats alone make Magnor EXTREMELY tanky. He also packs a huge punch with his massive attack power!
Magnor's true strength lies in it's TAUNT ability which allows him to draw ALL attacks towards himself! This ensures all other units will stay well protected for as long as he is alive. I would consider this card to be in the HIGHEST TIER of cards for the Fire splinter! ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
The release of this Untamed edition card has given the FIRE splinter it's FIRST and ONLY TAUNT unit. If you're looking for some gigantic tank to protect all your units, Magnor is your go-to guy.

As we can see here, the main purpose of Magnor is to be a tanking behemoth who is also able to pack a punch. Stats wise, his attack and hp gets higher at higher levels, reinforcing it's ability to do what it does best! At levels 2 and above, he gains ENRAGE, TRAMPLE AND RETURN FIRE, turning him into an even better tank and doing more damage than ever once he gets hit and enraged.

โ๏ธ๐กMy Battle Showcase๐กโ๏ธ
Let me present a battle I fought recently in which I used Magnor. My opponent used the LIFE splinter against my FIRE ๐ฑ.
This was a battle between opposing factions! Fire against Life! Will the destructive power of Fire win against the peaceful defensive healing abilities of Life? Who would come out victorious at the end of this struggle? ๐ฅ VS ๐ผ๐ป
This looked like a match in which my opponent had a HUGE advantage over me! ๐ฑ
He was using a level 2 Grandmaster Rathe against my level 1 Yodin.
His units were far higher levelled than mine, with his legendaries being level 2 compared to my level 1 Magnor.
Given this disparity in levels, I would be hard pressed to win.
I would say that Magnor was DEFINITELY the MVP of this match, having played a big role in turning the tide of battle. It's TAUNT ability allowed it to protect all my vulnerable units even as it reliably held it's own on the frontlines. ๐ฑ
This ensured that the other units could eventually wear down the opponent until victory was achieved! ๐๐๐

1st CARD SLOT
Magnor takes the role of the Main Tank in the first slot here. It will be the most important role since the backline will fall if the Main Tank goes.
2nd CARD SLOT
Fineas Rage occupies this slot. His main role is to be the backup tank even as his REACH ability allows him to attack from this position as a melee unit.
3rd CARD SLOT
The Lava Launcher occupies the 3rd slot. It is a hard hitting ranged unit with impressive tanking stats. If needs be, it can take up tanking responsibilities without losing it's ability to attack thanks to it's CLOSE RANGED ability.
4th CARD SLOT
Cornealus occupies this slot. It is another tanky ranged unit with the HEAL ability. It is a formidable unit which has extremely strong lasting power and is also capable of a decent amount of damage.
5th CARD SLOT
The Blood Maker sits safely behind to deal it's completely random ranged damage thanks to the SCATTERSHOT ability.
6th CARD SLOT
Countess Sinash occupies the final slot. She is a hard hitting ranged unit with OPPORTUNITY and CAMOUFLAGE. This makes her the perfect assassin, being able to take out the weakest units and yet no one can target her directly.

As you can see, both of us fielded VERY SIMILAR decks! We might have used opposing splinters but our choice of units were pretty similar. Both teams went for a TAUNT tank unit with the majority of DPS being ranged units.
๐ฅFIRE๐ฅ VS ๐ผ๐ปLIFE๐ผ๐ป
My opponent used the Shieldbearer as his main tank in the first slot. This is as good a choice as any for a tank. The Shieldbearer has great defensive stats and the TAUNT ability too.
His 2nd slot was occupied by a Time Mage which boosted his entire team's speed by debuffing everyone with SLOW.
His other 4 slots were all occupied by ranged DPS-ers. with the intention to swarm me with a barrage of ranged attacks.
Overall, I would say this was a pretty decent lineup.
My choice of the Main Tank was Magnor. He is a perfect candidate for such a task, having a massive amount of HP, together with the TAUNT ability! ๐ช
Next, I had Fineas Rage in my 2nd slot as a backup tank who was also able to attack with his REACH ability.
My next 4 slots were filled with ranged DPS just like my opponent.
The battle started out with all our units just duking it out pound for pound. It was a high mana game with 58 mana as the limit. The rulesets were TARGET PRACTICE and HEALED OUT.
The 1st wave saw my team take out his Time Mage TWICE over! (no thanks to his Adelade's RESSURECT ability)
His Shieldbearer also went down in the 1st round! ๐ฑ
My Magnor absorbed all the hits with his TAUNT and finished the round barely surviving with just 1 HP left!
It was ALL OVER at this point as that first round blitz had opened up an insurmountable lead for my team.
Talk about doing WAY MORE than it was supposed to!!! ๐ฑ๐คฏ๐ฅณ All I expected from Magnor was for it to tank a few hits before dying. Yet it did more than that and lasted through the entire battle AND also contributed greatly to the damage done!
It's TAUNT ability also pulled all the attacks that would have decimated my Ranged units because of the Target Practice ruleset granting everyone the SNIPE ability.
Surely that made it the Man of the Match for this battle, punching way above it's weight!

This was truly an eye opener! ๐๐
Slowly, but surely, I wore down the opponent's team and the match was won handily. My team selection proved to be the edge I needed to eventually overpower my opponent. ๐ช๐ป
๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎHindsight is 20/20๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ
Would I have done anything differently? ๐ค This might have seemed like a match that would prove to be a challenge at the start because of how outmatched I was in terms of levels. However, with my dominant VICTORY, IF I had to use the same cards again, there would be no better lineup than what I had already used for the match. Any other combination MIGHT have resulted in a loss for me. I'm really satisfied with the results against such a worthy opponent. ๐๐ฅ

I definitely can appreciate Magnor and it's strengths. This is one of those cards which are very strong if surrounded with the proper team. The role it brings to the battlefield will give a player the edge in squeezing out every tiny advantage to get the win. ๐๐ป
