(Instead of writing about the Dhampir Stalker, I've decided to write about Grum Flameblade instead. I've had a battle which showcases his ridiculous killing and bloodlust ability and it would be a waste not to share this instead. 😱)

Is this Splinterland's version of the Incredible Hulk? 🤣 HULK ANGRY! HULK SMASH HARDER! 🩸🔥⚔️

Grum now serves in the front lines of battle for the Chaos Legion. While he is a leader of the fiercest warriors, Grum fights right alongside even the newest soldier. He prefers to be the first to break the lines of the enemy and bring their heads back as his trophies. His ferocity and burning blade earned him the name Grum Flameblade across the land.

Grum Flamebladeis a Legendary Airdrop card released during the Chaos Legion expansion. I'd daresay it's the mainstay of MANY Fire decks. At level 1, it has 4 MELEE ATTACK and 1 SPEED, with 5 ARMOR and 10 HEALTH. He also has the BLOODLUST and VOID ARMOR ability.

These stats alone make Grum Flameblade EXTREMELY tanky. Although his slow speed is a negative point against him, his huge attack will smash through any unit unfortunate enough to be in his path!

Grum Flameblade's true strength lies in it's BLOODLUST ability, which increases ALL his stats every time he kills a unit! At 11 MANA cost, it is a very expensive card to use, but it's offensive firepower makes it well worth the cost! I would consider this card ALMOST BROKENLY OVERPOWERED (in the correct situations) and definitely in the HIGHEST TIER of all Splinterland cards! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The release of this Chaos Legion edition card has given the FIRE splinter it's first non-gladius Bloodlust unit. Once Grum Flameblade gets in a hit and kills a unit. He's just going to get stronger and faster and more unkillable. Like an unstoppable avalanche, once he gets going, its game over.

As we can see here, the main purpose of Grum Flameblade is to be a tanking behemoth who hits and destroys everything in his path. Stats wise, his attack and hp gets higher at higher levels, reinforcing it's ability to do what it does best! At levels 2 and above, he gains VOID and GIANT KILLER, turning him into an even better anti-magic tank and doing more damage than ever to other "big" cards, turning him into an even better killer and making it easier than ever for him to activate his BLOODLUST.

⚔️🛡My Battle Showcase🛡⚔️

Let me present a battle I fought recently in which I used Grum Flameblade. My opponent used the EARTH splinter against my FIRE 😱.

This was a battle between opposing factions! Fire against Nature, 2 elemental forces clashing with each other! Who would come out victorious at the end of this struggle? 🔥 VS 🌱

This looked like a match in which my opponent had a HUGE advantage over me! 😱

• He was using a level 4 Obsidian against my level 1 Yodin.

• His units were far higher levelled than mine, with his legendaries being level 2 compared to my level 1 Grum.

• Given this disparity in levels, I would be hard pressed to win.

• My opponent also fielded 6 units VS my 2. Numerically, I was also being outmatched here 🤣.

I would say that Grum Flameblade was DEFINITELY the MVP of this match, having played a big role in turning the tide of battle. It's BLOODLUST ability allowed it to destroy everything in it's path as it reliably held it's own on the frontlines. Not only that, it basically SOLO-ed the entire battle by killing every single unit on it's own! 😱

This ensured that the other units could eventually wear down the opponent until victory was achieved! 🏆🏆🏆

⚔️🛡Battle Action Report🛡⚔️

As you can see, both of us fielded VERY DIFFERENT decks! We used opposing splinters and even our choice and numbers of units were different. I went for a single powered up physical melee attack unit, while my opponent chose to swarm me with a whole bunch of magic attack units.

🔥FIRE🔥 VS 🌱LIFE🌱

My opponent used the Hill Giant as his main tank in the first slot. This is as good a choice as any for a tank. The Hill Giant is low cost yet comes with a large amount of health.

His 2nd slot was occupied by a Mycelic Morphoid, no doubt to serve as a low cost backup tank who was able to deal some extra damage with it's THORNS.

His other 4 slots were all occupied by low cost DPS-ers. with the intention to swarm me with a barrage of multi units boosted magic damage.

Overall, I would say this was a pretty decent lineup.

My choice of the Main Tank was Grum Flameblade. He is a perfect candidate for such a task, having a massive amount of HP and ARMOR, together with the VOID ARMOR ability! This means he has no weaknesses against physical or magic attacks. 😎💪

Next, unlike my opponent who went for an all out DPS route, I adopted a mostly solo approach.

I fielded only 1 other unit which was my Scavo Hireling. I had hoped this unit with it's REPAIR ability would prolong the survivability of my Grum while he built up his BLOODLUST stacks.

The battle started out with all our units just duking it out pound for pound. It was a pretty low mana game with 21mana as the limit. The rulesets were REVERSE SPEED and ODD ONES OUT.

• The 1st wave saw my Grum hitting his Hill Giant and immediately killing the Mycelic Morphoid behind thanks to my Yodin's BLAST. This instantly allowed him to gain 1 stack of BLOODLUST! 🩸

• My Scavo Hireling pretty much did nothing as the opponent killed him off in the 1st round with his SNEAK attacks.

• It would be a SOLO fight for Grum from now on!

• Round 2 was even more spectacular than the 1st as Grum killed the main tank and blast took out his Spirit Hoarder behind! That was TWO STACKS OF BLOODLUST in 1 round! 😱🩸🩸

• It was ALL OVER at this point as everyone was exposed to a crazily BLOODLUSTED Grum who landed ALL 6 KILLING BLOWS! 🔪

Talk about doing WAY MORE than it was supposed to!!! 😱🤯🥳 All I expected from Grum Flameblade was for it to be a DPS unit. Yet it did more than that and lasted through the entire battle AND did so by scoring every single KILL! Surely that made it the Man of the Match for this battle, punching way above it's weight! Not to mention that he did it SOLO! It was basically a 1 V 6 situation!

Well as you can see here in this GIF of my battle, the results were pretty good! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

This was truly an eye opener! 😁🏆

Slowly, but surely, I wore down the opponent's team and the match was won handily. My team selection proved to be the edge I needed to eventually overpower my opponent. 💪🏻

Would I have done anything differently? 🤔 This might have seemed like a match that would prove to be a challenge at the start because of how outmatched I was in terms of levels and numbers. However, with my dominant VICTORY, IF I had to use the same cards again, there would be no better lineup than what I had already used for the match. Any other combination MIGHT have resulted in a loss for me. I'm really satisfied with the results against such a worthy opponent. 🏆🥇
